Voss to call Grand final?

Who did Rabs call the 87-91 GFs for? A radio station?? He certainly didn't call the TV ones.

Maybe 2KY, at that stage he called the trots and greyhounds and he was doing part time gigs for Channel 9 in between, 89 Aus/NZ test series, SOO series in 89 and 91 with big Dazz.

He called the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland.

So he was still involved with the media after Channel 10 sacked him after 86. But he became a full time in 1992 when Channel 9 had the TV rights for Rugby League.

This will be first Grand Final since 1991 with no Ray Warren calling the Grand Final.

Wont be the same really, I love how Rabs builds up the auidence about 5 minutes before kick off. But I have no doubt Andrew Voss will do a fine job. Wish Rabs all the best and hope for a speedy recovery.

I don't have anything against Warren, but I don't see why people worship him as a commentator. He doesn't seem any better than most to me...

Warren isn't the best commentator in the game, Hadley is, however I'd rather anyone but Voss get the GF this year. He is an absolute tool.

What annoys me about Voss is his opinions are better than everyone else except Gould. Unless he agrees with you, nothing you send in will be aired on the Roast.

I don't understand how anyone can say he's a good commentator. He just babbles on about non relevant sh*t.

People always talks about his play on words and handle of the English language well so what. Anyone can hire a ghost writer for that. You can find a wannabe rapper in his Mums basement who has a better handle on the English language than rabs. And I mean that.

Metaphors and similies are childsplay.
