Going to be an interesting season - think the Cowboys have a lot on common with us tbh...

I swear we should be underdogs every week. We seem to be comfortable favourites for next week, so I don't have my hopes up too high >_>.

It was a big improvement over last week. Still plenty to fix up, but we were able to win against a good (but very unlucky) side nonetheless. Not playing your best and still winning is important. If we can keep improving and find some consistency, could still be a good year.

End of the day we won and really that's all that matters , it wasn't a perfect performance but after the last two weeks I'm stoked for the boys. The biggest improvement was the commitment shown.

early days yet , but let's hope they bring the same energy and use this momentum for the tigers in Wellington.

You penalise that then you penalise Vatuvei's knee on Tariq......... Sometimes shit happens in footy, contact sport and all that.


The damage done to Matulino imo was more the back of his head hitting the turf and stunning him than anything Tamou did.

Some very good signs though, Townsend giving it to Friend for that sloppy pass from dummy half was a very good sign we need more people calling out shit behaviour. Also good to see Manu and Hurrell start to run in when Sims tried to hurry up Neilsen who was down with cramp. Show some mongrel boys

Friend 30+, Townsend early twenties, but a half controlling the players and telling them what he expects.

Mind you, two Aussies having a go at each other and being fairly direct and to the point. That ain't Kiwi culture. You all have to be nice to each other in case you offend somebody.

Friend, Leuluai and Townsend all going for the 6 or 9 jersey over the next few months will be very interesting to see the spine perform, thrown in Tomkins who might be moved to 6 and his battle with Locke when fit for the 1 jersey and mid year we could have another run of 8 from 9 starts
