The killer where the ones in our half by the backs that killed us.
Wright only error free back.

It seems like Hurrell and Kata in particular are placing too much emphasis on making heavy contact with the tacklers. Maybe in an effort to effect a tackle break? Quite often they will fight to drive through the tacklers for an extra metre or two, when trying to get a quick play the ball would seem to be a more sensible play. Regardless, ball security should always be paramount when coming off your own line.

Hold ball, we win.

Dumb to know that we were the better team and gave it away

 clutching at straws.

If we show competence and composure does that whining happen?

Yep, I thought they were getting away with plenty in the play the ball and we were getting tackled sometimes as first receiver caught the ball. Not from marker but from guys supposedly running 10m in a second. I was yelling at the refs when we were 10 points up as well. What's grates me even more is the hands on the ball penalty in the first 5 min of the game. Not one again for the remaining 75. Just no consistency. I thought we actually played above expectations. Most here would have take a close fought 4 point loss going by the doom and gloom predicted by many before the game.

Hurrell won't be dropped but Kata needs to go to NSW Cup for a fortnight. If we didn't have injuries I'd expect him to have played only half of what he has done this year.
I'd expect Tomkins back next week, and Kata to have a rest

Dunno, ay.

The Titans have found some form, and we're expected to win.

Johnson had a quiet game? Didn't hear him mentioned much.

You'll win easily. The Titans are average; us Panthers were total shit and made them look decent.

At least the effort is always there, if we could just get the f#~king simple errors out of the game Warriors would be a force to be wreckond with.

Just caught the replay.

Amazing how little we respect the ball, our error rate and completion is just shocking.
... and yet we only went down by 4 and led most of the way.

Frustrating as hell, feels like it's going to be the same ol season where we hover around 9-10 on the ladder.

We are the team with the most errors in the NRL - again.
Surely the coach need to address this urgently.
Lolohea had a shocker. Can't see him as a half.
Going to be another long season.
We need the pom back.

The young outside backs need to learn how to hold/carry the football!...they don't get coached fundematals in South Auckland rugby league?!...tuck it under your arm..dont carry it like a hand grenade.

Atually I think thats a large part of the problem- Australian players get way more intensive and professional coaching coming up through the grades. NZ Junior Rugby League is way behind in that regard, how many of these players even played League at school?

Hmmm, not really sure what to make of it - the Cowboys were a little below par, but I really didn't expect us to go close - our pack is the equal of anyone at the moment - and while Hurrell and Kata did a lot of good things, the errors are what cost us - for all the bagging of Wright, while he doesn't offer the big upside of them, he also doesn't f**k up as often.

Golden Boot was ok, but he really needs to be better than ok - at key times he's sometimes invisible - contrast that with JT, who had a mediocre-ish game, but when his involvement goes up at key times...

It was billed as the "battle of the golden boots" but neither lived up to the billing. Both 6's were better.

Pretty frustrating the fashion in which they lost as the game turned out to be easily winnable for them. In saying that, they put up much more of a fight than I thought they wouldgiven JT's 250th, the Cows were carrying plenty of momentum, and the game being over there as well.

I said to a mate during the week that I didn't expect them to win, but as long as they put up a good fight there's no shame in losing a game to the Cowboys over there. But definitely frustrating once the game actually played out knowing that win was certainly available and a huge win it would have been.

The contrast between the top sides and the also-rans is massive in this comp.

I went to the Storm Roosters game on Saturday night, in driving rain and cold, and both sides completed 90% of sets, chancing their arm when it was available and getting to kicks solidly the rest of the time. And that's with two big packs hitting hard.

Then we play in perfect conditions and we drop the pill 12 times out of 30 odd sets. It's inexperience I know but it's frustrating as hell.

And letting someone score twice from dummy half, something he has always had in his game, is horrendous.

On that note I'm not looking forward to playing my local team again this season, Penrith.

'Aussie Jim' Segeyaro will be a nightmare, and our boys will have no idea he's probably the best scorer from dummy half in the comp.
