When was our last decent come from behind win? 20-0 second half is nothing to be sneezed at.

We looked dead yet again when those soft first half tries came in, but tonight heads didn't drop and we stuck to the general plan and won.

Didn't see any laziness today, and a lot of that comes down the crud we kept on the field.

I was about to throw shit at the TV for that first period especially. But I’ll give the boys credit for digging in and coming back. Hopefully it was adjustment to the lineup changes because the second half was infinitely better.

An absolute pleasure to read this game-day thread from start to finish!

(I knew the score, as my workmate told me :)).

It was the largest halftime deficit we've overcome since the Tigers game in the 2011 finals.

Biggest halftime turnarounds:
Last night: 6-18 halftime, 26-18 fulltime.
2011 finals vs Tigers @ Allianz: 6-18 halftime, 22-20 fulltime.
2003 vs Rabbitohs @ Allianz: 6-18 halftime, 31-30 fulltime (GP).
2005 vs Knights @ Newcastle: 6-20 halftime, 30-26 fulltime.
1996 vs Steelers @ Wollongong: 6-20 halftime, 30-20 fulltime.
2009 vs Roosters @ Mt Smart: 0-16 halftime, 17-16 fulltime (GP).

dont know if it is just me but i feel like we won this game in spite of the coaching.
Kearney continues to use Fusitua as a battering ram instead of as a finesse player where he excels.
To start the game, i counted the first 4 hit ups as being by backs. wtf.
Then after each restart Fusitua, was first or second hit up into the meat of the forwards. Supercoach is just asking for him to get injured again.
When Sao HAD to come on (as he was replacing Blair), we actually got some good go foward and second phase from his offloads (3 were good, 1 was abit silly) and it actually looked liked a decent middle forward out there. Took 9 rounds....
And then when Lawton was making great inroads from dummy half, Kearney decides to rotate him off. Not sure if Kearney knows the saying "play the hot hand", but i dont understand why he couldnt delay the hooker rotation. Didnt appear to be a fitness issue with Lawton. If Roache hadnt gone down injured, we probably wouldnt have seen Lawton again for the back end of the game, where he made those searing breaks which eventually resulted in the game clinching try.

To me it feels like this team would go better if it just ran itself and ignored the coach.

^ you’re right about the outside backs doing way too much work, we made the same old mistakes of 3 out of 5 hitups handled by Fus, RTS and Ken and often Herbert too.

It’s a stupid strategy, it didn’t cost us this time but eventually it will.

Not something I get to say much, very intelligent play from the Warriors in the 2nd half

The Dragons edges were absolutely terrible defensively, close to the worst I’ve ever seen, and the warriors repeatedly went back to that well and got the results

Our kicking game was the weakest part of that performance. With Green now doing all the kicking, we will continue to struggle in this area. Is Kodi a viable long-term #6 if he offers nothing with the boot?
