That was an impressive effort from the boys, particularly in defence at key moments. Lucky with he intercepts, but you need to make your own luck. A huge win in the context of our season, and with 3 winnable home games left this season a spot in the 8 is ours for the taking. As it often is come this point in the year...

How about a bit of love for Justin Morgan? He copped a mountain of criticism (not so much on here, a little bit but more social media/radio etc) for our shit defence early in the season, which I felt was unfair due to our piss-poor attitude rather than defensive systems.

Since the bye, I think we've leaked more than 20 once, and that was against the Raiders at home, who are absolutely flying and just touched up the comp's form team. Kata has gone from sieve to superstar. We don't leak tries on our edges like we used to. It's just great to watch.

Justin deserves a massive rap for how we are going. We're not setting the world on fire by scoring points, but we're winning games and staying in contests with a bit of heart and by the looks strong defensive structure and understanding (even though the coach keeps chopping and changing combinations).

I'm gonna be the first one to say it- but keep this up and I might be re-evaluating my opinion of Cappy's coaching too. He's showing signs that he's learning on the job I think.

I'm still not sure about this. I'm one of the loudest voices against him, and he continues to do weird things like pick backs on the bench who either don't play or get 10 minutes when there are better impact options. And with the attacking potency we have in our side, I still feel like we don't score enough points - today being another example with 2 intercepts slightly flattering us. A team with the strike power we have should be in the top 3-4 teams in the comp points scoring wise.

One thing I will say though, after the first bye there was a noticeable lift in intensity and playing for each other/whoever. To have not lost in normal time since then, over two months ago, is pretty fair going. That has to be partially attributable to him.

You have a point somewhat, some of that ball running and play making is the best I've seen us dish up in an age. If we learned to look after the ball we would have been 20 points on the board by half time the way it was going.

But his selections are going to end our season, and nearly cost us the game today. Maumalo and Lolohea were dreadful shoring up the back today, a better team would have capitalised. Why teams aren't bombing and chipping behind these guys every set is beyond me, but it will happen and it's not going to be pretty.

It's a mixed bag from McFad

The discussion on McFadden is remiscent of Waldorff and Stadler!!

We are fringe top 8, look at the squad! Yes we've been solid for a while now, but come on...

I agree his selections seem to be the big issue.
With Luke out and a rotating hooker policy we can't carry a back in the bench.
Positionally while I don't agree, not many on here can all agree who's spot is best. But most agree with backs on bench.

I want to know what Ayshford has done wrong that results in him sitting on the bench and Lolo in the starting 13?

Was Ayshford playing at lock today? What the hell is going on with that.
If we're going to bench him, we might as well Vulcanise him and get Afoa in to cart up some metres.

probably more useful to the team in the few minutes he was on, than Tui was for the whole game. Things need to change at the back before long. Don;t really see a place for Tui in the squad at all to be honest. Apart from his gun run in Golden Point against the cellar dweller Roosters against tiring defence, what has he done this year to justify his place in a top 8 NRL team? Maybe you could get away with his ineptitude over the whole season if you were the Knights but dont we have higher aspirations? He's an absolute weak link. At least Maumolo serves a purpose with his metre eating and starting the sets..(and he can actually hurt people. Ask Hoffman)

Great win, great defence, we beat Titans, Hurrell factor, Hayne Train/Plane whatever and Maxwell of course, could say this game was almost season defining, with everybody saying Titans would win with the Hayne factor and Luke out.

I'd rather see a utility and 3 forwards than a utility, centre and 2 forwards.

He is limiting our limited interchange.

When Jazz went off for his head knock, I'd have put TL at 9 and Roach at 6 (where he belongs).

I would of thought it's reasonably obvious that we've been running a back on the bench due to SJ and TL both carrying injuries and Manu seemingly on one leg - same could be said about lolo. We are now so deep into the season we can't afford to rest any of them.

And with some of our backs big enough to run stints in the forwards it's really not a massive issue.
