Could be a surprise packet in the next few rounds, would love to see him apparently he's been killing NSW Cup.

I think we should keep him and Neale over Lowe and Picker next year

I think Madge will definitely use Grevshmul off the bench next year just like how Turner played for Norths last year and came in at the beginning of the year. A good off season with no injuries and Grevshmul could be a powerhouse.

I think we will sign Ben Lowe for 1 more year because he makes lots of tackles off the bench and I think Madge likes that. I think Neale will move on but not sure about Picker if we will have enough salary cap space?

Next year I'm looking forward to seeing Turner after he's had an off-season to bulk up a bit more.

Kyle Turner should retire. Has gone off with a concussion type injury about every 3rd game this season. He also had plenty of games off with injury last season. When you are getting repeated concussion injuries you should retire like Liam Fulton did

Yeah it seems that way but I think on quite a few occasions he has passed the SCAT test and come back on. But your right - he does seem to be copping quite a few head knocks. It would be a shame if he had to!

Walker to Return to Scene of Classic Try in Cairns

Fri 1st August, 11:37AM A A

When Dylan Walker last laced on the boots in Cairns, the Rabbitohs young-gun produced what would go on to be awarded the Club’s try of the season in 2013.
But while the try bore his name, the Rabbitohs centre hasn’t changed his mind about the try being a team effort, after no less than six of his teammates threw the ball around before the Souths Junior would eventually touch down. The try would be one of the deciding factors in the Rabbitohs’ 30 points to 24 win over the Titans, in the Rabbitohs’ home game in Cairns.
Walker spoke to the rugby league media this week about the try that would go on to feature among many highlights reels for the 2013 season.
“I didn’t have to do much on that four-pointer,” laughed Walker.
To see all the highlights from 2013’s trip to Cairns, including ‘that try’, please click here.

NRL & NYC Previews - Rd 21, 2014

Logitechshop.com.au presents
Rabbitohs v Knights
Sunday 3 August
Barlow Park, Cairns
3:00pm – NRL Kick Off

The Rabbitohs will return to Cairns this Sunday in what will be the second time the Club will take a home match to tropical North Queensland – this time to take on the Newcastle Knights in ‘The Big Show @ Barlow’.
For the second placed Rabbits, victory will keep them in touch with the ladder-leading Sea Eagles (currently four points ahead on 30), as well as providing the potential to pull away from the Panthers and Bulldogs – both of whom sit equal with Souths on 26 points.
But the Knights also have plenty to play for. Despite a tumultuous start to the season, a recent run of good form has seen the men in blue and red take out four of their last five matches, including an impressive last-ditch victory against defending-Premiers, the Roosters.
Rabbitohs forward, Ben Lowe, is in no doubt that the Knights will be a dangerous proposition on Sunday afternoon at Barlow Park.
“We’re expecting to play them at their best I suppose,” said Lowe.

Lowe Expecting Tough Tussle

Words: Tom Skolarikis I Video: Chris Beavon
Fri 1st August, 10:39AM

Rabbitohs forward, Ben Lowe, is expecting a fiery battle this Sunday in Cairns when his side take on the Knights in round 21.
Newcastle may be sitting in 14th place on 16 competition points, but with four wins from their last five starts – including a gutsy last-ditch effort against the Roosters in round 20 – Lowe expects the Knights to be a dangerous proposition.
“We’re expecting to play them at their best I suppose,” said Lowe.
“They’re going to come up there and probably put in a great performance. Their season probably hasn’t been the greatest, but look we’re heading up there as well and looking forward to a good battle.

Was going to either be GI or Issac.

I don't think the RU move should discount Sam from being captain from next week onwards until Sutto comes back - he's earnt it over 5 seasons.

I have heard that Chris Grevshmul might make his debut tomorrow. If he plays it will be great to see how he goes. Could give good impact off the bench

Would love to see what he can offer in first grade.

It'd be interesting to see if he and KT could form a good second row partnership in the next few years.

Rabbitohs fullback Greg Inglis will have the honour of captaining the Rabbitohs in this Sunday’s clash with the Newcastle Knights, his first appointment as captain of a senior team so far in his career.
Inglis, who will play his 193rd NRL game and 76th first grade game for the Rabbitohs this weekend, will take over from injured five-eighth John Sutton as the first man down the tunnel, leading out the men in red and green onto the turf at Barlow Park at 3pm on Sunday.
The Rabbitohs official website, www.rabbitohs.com.au, spoke to Inglis on Friday afternoon about the captaincy and the impact that may have on his game.
“It’s a massive honour for me and I was speechless when ‘Madge’ (Head Coach Michael Maguire) told me that I would be captain this weekend,” Inglis said.
“Unfortunately ‘Sutt’ (captain John Sutton) got injured last weekend so I have some big boots to fill.
“To be considered as a captain of such a great Club like South Sydney is just huge. It’s a huge honour.
“I have a leadership role at the Club normally, but this is the next level.
“I guess it hasn’t fully sunk in yet this far out from the game, but I’m really looking forward to it and that includes making sure I’m doing my job for the team.”

Escape the winter and catch The Big Show @ Barlow Park in Cairns. Visit www.ticketscairns.com.au to purchase tickets.
Inglis will be the first Rabbitohs player to run into the wall of noise at Cairns’ Barlow Park on Sunday as he leads South Sydney out onto the field.
“It will definitely be a different experience for me, but I won’t be changing what I do for the team in terms of the way I play and the job I do in attack and defence,” Inglis explained.
“Every week we’re looking to improve as a team, we hold each other accountable for our jobs within the team, and we try and play our best so we can get the best result.
“None of that will change and we’ll be doing our best to represent the Club and the Members in the best way possible.”
Inglis will remain at fullback with young tyro Luke Keary coming into the starting line up at five-eighth.
The final make-up of the Rabbitohs side will be announced on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2pm.
Tickets for ‘The Big Show’ at Barlow Park in Cairns between the Rabbitohs and the Knights this Sunday 3 August at 3pm are still available by visiting www.ticketscairns.com.au/RABBITOHS-vs-KNIGHTS, by calling 07 4053 8333, or by visiting Brothers Leagues Club in Cairns.
