Meanwhile no Larmer in the comm box today, and the new guy is even worse.

Adam Blair chimed in with “he runs real hard” and Honey with “some… much needed points

… for the Warriors”

Is this honestly the worst comms box we’ve ever had? Challenges even the McIvor days.
Heard Larmer commentating some women’s handball this morning

Never thought I’d say bring back Costo, that’s how bad it’s become. Long for the glory days of Graeme Hughes and Brent Todd

it concerns me that Adam Blair has been named on the Kiwis coaching staff

Trouble is, there's good and bad times. And Kosi is terrible in the bad times.

Conversely, I am such a huge Leaitaua fan. Kid looks so assured
Yep Kosi is rubbish it is true, plays well when he gets his tail up, flip side is he crumbles when he is down.

MGT and Ali are an exciting part of our future, add to that Leka and Dimitric and you have some serious star power to come in.

I just cannot get down on this season knowing what is coming with our juniors.

I didn't mind him. Easy to tune out
I thought he was a big improvement to be honest, voice is much better suited, people have to remember it is this commentators first Warriors game.
I recon he has a classic League voice.

But we were screwed this year *with* him.
Yep, I thought he was going to cause an implosion and we'd have a poor year, I was partially right, we have had a poor year, and he did cause a bit of a mini implosion - but as an on field player he is awesome.

On the commentators, I'm in Oz, we have Blocker Roach, he comes across like he's had a stroke.

We're going to be screwed next year without AFB. As great as JFH is he doesn't eat metres and score at will.

Do we win tonight without AFB?
No - we wouldn’t have won without him. He absolutely dominated the forwards and made metres and breaks at will.

Just remember guys James F Harris is coming, stuff AFB the Fish is a hearty Maori with the presence to be a team player rather than a prima Donna.

AFB with a nice break and no support.

CHT forces a dropout.

Api Drops it 2m that bounces back.

A greedy play set everyone trying to do it themselves.

TMM forces a drop-out which Tigers regather this time!

DWZ with a kick return to halfway that earns 6 more.

Telfa kicks it dead on a short side play.

Tigers earn 6 again then knock on next play.

Capewell scores out wid, simple backline move that had Tigers sliding and backpedalling.

4-0 9mins unconverted.

Good set till last play goes wrong, not sure why TMM didn't kick when he got the ball back vs passing to Capewell to pass and hand it over on their 40m.

6 more for Tigers, for something I couldn't see in the ruck on replay.

Tigers kick through has RTS sliding and Tigers sliding, RTS slapping at it and Tiger grabbing at it for a try, hard to see who touches first.

Bunker magically sees Tigers first touch, backing up on field ref.

Capewell didn't apparently clear the ruck and penalised for Tigers poor play the ball, who then don't find the sideline.

Warriors get 6 more in their 40m.

DWZ dives to wide and puts ball out.

Man put last tackle plays are poor. DWZ and Barnett cause some form of pinball off a chip bomb.

RTS stepping but not making a break.

AFB with some big runs.

CHT with a rushed kick that Tigers knock on and sit on 10m out.

Kosi loses the ball play 1 off the scrum 4m out.

Walker down.

AFB offload and Egan then flicks it back into Api's head and called knock on.

Tigers kick it dead just.

Egan with a tackle into the hip, Tigers lose the ball on their 40m.

Tiger player offside and allowed to take ball played by TMM with Egan to slow.

Tigers done for 6 again ruck infringement.

Taufa knocks on RTS pass.

Egan put past horizontal by Api and penalised. Way worse the RTS sin bin.

Finally TMM into the line and CHT quick pass and flick pass for Kosi to score out wide.

A lot has been to slow and way before the line.

8-0 35mins unconverted again.

Tigers winger pass is dropped by Fullback 13m out.

We return to slow passes shuffling left and right until last pass TMM holds it into the line and passes to Leiataua to score.

14-0 39 mins CHT kicks the one he should of kicked last week.

Tigers short kick regathered.

HALFTIME.

Warriors tackle Tiger In air, more of a bump and penalised.

Tigers kick thru 20m out RTS diving, denying Tigers again. Bunker confirms ref again, Tigers knock on.

Capewell tackles kicker in the air, arrived as he kicking and then goes in the air. Rough/wrong call.

6 more and Tigers half up over the line.

Tigers winger held up and driven out, really should have been held.

Egan in a head clash, again and split open.

Capewell make a good break and then throws the ball to ground foe Api to grab 35m out.

6 more as Warriors inside the 10m.

Papalli scores, Egan turned in.

14-6 53 mins

6 again as well tackled low and well by Jazz but looked a leg pull.

Tigers score in the corner, kick off Capewell foot and back into their hands.

14-10 56 mins

Tigers penalised for inside the 10m.

Starting on their 40m.

CHT clearly holding down by Paps, but then TMM hit late again, was it high? Shoulder charge? No bin.

Taking the 2.

16-10 61mins

Terrible kick by Tigers, then called offside on the kick. Starting on their 30m.

Another poor end, Barnett gets the ball on shortside and tackled.

Ford hit by a sniper.

Ref calls no marker and RTS runs into player in no man's land and nothing.

Worst end to set by Tigers, 2 teams completely struggling.

AFB kicks down the front door to score!

22-10 71mins

Tigers short kickoff taken out by them.

AFB loses ball first tackle.

Lussick does what Tiger does before except tackling player not grabbing ball on last but is called 6 more by ref this time.

RTS with a break but no speed and stopped at halfway.

Ball goes wide to the right and Taufa break and back to DWZ to score.

28-10 76mins

RTS cuts down Bulla on the run in open field.

Then 6 again as we inside the 10m.

6 again asninside the 10m.

But they stuff the play the ball.

Captains challenge, Walker gets done for lying in the ruck and penalised.

Api scores doing everything.

28-16 80mins

Fulltime.

It’s funny cos this week no-one will be talking about the ref but for me that was the most blatantly crooked refereeing performance all season. Just constantly and blatantly rewarding the team who were losing the ruck.

I don't know man. I've seen worse. Gough isn't a good referee, but I think it might have seemed worse at the ground.

Interestingly, Webster said Egan coming off had nothing to do with injury and they were ahead and wanted to defend their way to a win. So, is Lussick seen as a better defensive hooker?

I saw his perfomance as classic NRL bias.

From my pov he started out playing to the home crowd which we rolled down field on.

Then predictably he switched to the square up to pad his stats and stayed with that for the rest of the game.

He definitely is a better defender.

How does everyone see Egan's year so far?
