How good is it to see the Warriors offloading again?!

Took me about 30 minutes in to think "why are we looking dangerous on attack today?" and then realised almost all of the opportunities came off second phase play. Where has this been all season?

Was always planning to watch, just not live. Could fastforward through the scrums, conversions etc, save a bit of time.

So what I learnt.

This team is a mental basket case, if we think we will win, we do.
Example, we have won last 6 games at Goldcoast and have beaten them 13 times of 14.
We play a team without Origin players and win easily, yet that team still better than the Knights who we struggled against.

All away fixtures should be on the Goldcost.

We should not be made to play games in Australia after 5.30pm AEST

We need to have offloads in our game, hopefully this is now part of "the process".

Kata redemed himself.

Brodene hmmmmm, some nice offloads, bad defensive reads still, only 1 missed tackle (guess it doesnt count if you dont touch Hayne), ineffective at short pass off SJ, Hingo showed him how with final try.

While RTS does some good things, also some dumb things, restart 6m from centre line clearly marked, offloading for the sake of it on the 4th after SJ over shoots him because everyone else was during that set.
He can't off been communicating to defensive line on Titans first try and it was like 6 on 4 down that side!

Less errors and penalties than the other team always helps.

This should be the standard each week, still well below the top teams, but would of given us at least 3 more wins this year.

Kearney subbed of Mannering for Bunty, but played Brodene full 80mins! WTF?

Hingaro on the bench as well as Luke kicking conversion indicated something wrong with SJ. Yet Foran went down with a Quad injury.

Young forwards stepped up, Vete and Lisone looked good, Lisones runs during the set basically set up the tries while he was on.

Hoffman kicking final goal nice touch, but he still missed way to many tackles and gave away a penalty.

Traditional rough calls as ususal by the refs, non-forward passes called but missed for titans, forced in goal when not, shoulder charge on Ashyford in 40th min let go. Fus needed a Manly shirt to be on for his no try to be awareded! :)

Man I forgot how much Belcher hates us! Terrible calls, ban him and Blocker.

8th is currently Panthers 14 points +31

Oh it feeling like one of those runs is coming.
Then the fall and wishing we had only won a couple more games.

Played lads. We put that sort of intensity in every week & we'll always be competitive.

Well, that was an unexpectedly great surprise!

Again, one of those games we seem to think we can win when we go to Robina. Hopefully we think we can beat the Dogs after the bye too.

I have to say, with seeing Lisone high in the votes, that I have been really impressed with him this year. I was about his biggest critic the last two years but he's bringing a much greater consistency to his game. Read he's into mindfulness/meditation as well, which is a huge step for a boy from Otara. On ya Sammy

In the last five years we pretty much always beat the GC but miss the finals.

‘Yeah its good, just playing process footy at the moment’ RTS' halftime words.

How is the fishing Rich? Lots of big winter snaps around?

Haven't been out yet but I hear there are still a few around.

Good to see the team firing, hope it continues. But the Titans were hopeless.
Suspicions of match fixing?

Easy, Gavet back in Brodene out. Reshuffle the bench.
Yep, but we know that won't happen

We should also remember that we're in the Origin season which hugely advantages us, and disadvantages most teams - that wasn't the reason last night, really weird from the Titans, they simply didn't show up, which is something they've done week-in-week out.

Titans did a classic Warriors. It was like we entered some Bizarro-universe for the evening...

That was a huge improvement from last week, but for me it will be measured by next game v doggies.

If we're serious contenders...

Speaking of fishing

Going on Rob Parkers Houhora Fishing Charters trip on Tuesday, he is famous up here for putting people onto huuge snaps..

Check his f/book page..

Understand the celebration of Hoffman kicking the last goal of a big win in his 300th. And yay he scored it etc. But is that the smart thing to do when you're hanging around the bottom of the eight, with for and against likely to come into play? I just see things like that as the difference between us and the Storms of the NRL, they care about result first and waffly sh1t second...

Two points to remember:

1. We are the Titans bogey side
2. It is in the middle of Origin period right now

So, won't be getting excited yet. 4 games after Origin 3 and I'll re-assess our chances then. This Origin period upswing has happened too many times now. Can't get excited after one game.

Yeah I'm a downer but been burnt once too often.

Anyone else think Bodene is playing for a contract elsewhere now?

Lol Storm are the kings of celebrating milestones...hell, they wished Hoffy all the best for that game on their FB & site pages & he doesn't play for them now. They've given kicks to guys in that situation quite a few times - but only if the game isn't in the balance tho. Thought it was a really nice touch by the Warriors. As was the article re the "giraffe' on NRL.com quoting Kearney & Hoffy.
