Alas since scrapping the SG Ball in 2019 I dont think theres that many young WA players at the moment in NRL systems. Might be a few years of building our own systems before we see talent come through. But you never know, it only takes that one gem to be polished and you might have the next superstar.
Most certainly Perth born South Perth Lions product Kurt De Luis, five eighth and goal kicking sharp shooter Kieran Hayman and try scoring winger Allan Fitzgibbon, our other winger Tua Katoa is the younger brother of Cronulla Sharks NRL winger Sione Katoa.
Broncos North Beach Sea Eagles player Josh Rogers younger brother Darius Rogers is apparently a player to keep an eye on, the experienced Joell Irvine front rower and Captain of the Joondalup Giants is an absolute cracker of a player, not sure how old he is though.

Joell's early 30s now as it is. I couldn't tell you how old exactly, as I haven't been an official at Joondalup for 4yrs, but I think he was about 26 or 27 back then.
Yep he will have a worldie every now and then a win game with his brilliance.

Once upon a time there was three bears
Just recently I did a branding concept for Western Bears
I did it cause a good mate asked would I look at it for him, we worked well together in the past and enjoyed the time working together with WA rugby league
I convinced them to look at Western instead of PERTH, it’s easier for marketing down the track and a bigger landscape
WA LOVED the logo and marketing concepts, North Sydney hated it, and NRL hated it
I understood why North’s hated it, NRL branding division? well f**k me they couldn’t get their own brand right over in Vegas
Anyway, moving on, one day I will explain and hopefully show you what I did, and why some disliked it a lot, and others thought it was great
I have not seen the new NRL bears version logo as yet, but what I will tell you is WESTERN BEARS should never ever look like the North Sydney Bears, that is in the best interest interest of both franchises
There has not been a merger in Rugby League that has been fair, EVER
I tried to fix that with the Western Bears, I explained what I was doing and why I was doing it, I did the branding for Northern Eagles, that merger was real unfair for North’s fans
My basic verbiage I had down while designing this was
ONE TRIBE, TWO CLANS, WEST CLAN AND NORTH CLAN
get that right and this franchise will be a juggernaut in rugby league
I wish this WESTERN BEARS nothing but the best, and they will now be my second favourite team to follow in league
Why can’t I show you the concepts?, well I no longer own the copyright, another mate of mine bought it outright when he heard the deal fell over lol, that’s business
From here on in anything on team branding I will be referring to others whose work I think are the future in this industry
They are younger and I think their design work has their heart in the right spot which is so much more important than anything
Fraser Davidson, his logos are f**king stunning this guy is so switched on in branding and I absolutely love his work
Ben Briscoe his jerseys I would buy and wear in a heartbeat a young guy that will hopefully become well known once he gets that break
