WA BEARS

If that was the intent they would have just asked for a bank surety like they did with the Dolphins. Would make no sense to torpedo the only other viable bid in this way to ask them to pay a huge 'just in case' fee.
Ask your friend Politis, the reason that there's a licence fee going around this time, and basically from now onwards... it was his idea, and the clubs agreed on it, why do they have to split their pie of fund returns, with a new franchise that won't commit to an upfront buy in to become one of them, aswell as thieving their local talent, the nrl doesn't have a draft, so what remuneration are you going to split to each stakeholder for you to be a part of the competition?

Both are an investment in the WA bid. The consortium raised the start up cash needed. The Govt has put up the infrastructure costs needed to give the club the facilities it needs plus grow Jnr RL here. Both are equally valuable and needed.

I guess that is probably whats happening now and what the news articles about WA wanting to sit down and negotiate are about. This is Vlandys MO, we all know that, put a public doom and gloom statement out, have everyone flurry around and eventually a deal gets done. We saw the worst of it during the RLPA negotiations. Like Ive said this a long way from over yet, for WA or the bid I suspect.
Yesterday you said you knew what was happening. Now you’re guessing

That is an investment that would be made from the WA Government even if the Western Pacifika Porcupines had a bid based in Perf
no club, no investment. If the WA consortium hadn't bid the WA govt wouldn't be offering $450mill for the games development in the West. Might have escaped your notice but there is only 1 WA bid. If that fails there'll be no $30mill spent, no $450mill spent. Unless NRL is willing to front it and invest the $50mil start up. WA govt has been pretty clear since day 1 it wont directly fund or own a club.

Because the A-LEAGUE is a Ponzi scheme that will fall over before 2030.

This fee is literally the only way they raise any revenue.

Whereas $20M is a fart in the Ocean for the NRL. It would cover 4 corporate lunches at best
Some A league clubs are owned by very rich billionaires from Saudi Arabia. Middle East
Just like some Premier league clubs

Still doesn't stop anyone else from turning up and receiving the 450mil WA govt offer...
What does YOUR bid offer the rest of the clubs, that others won't

pretty obvious no one put in a 'large' fee number given all the bids bar our taxpayer one were criticised. So with that in mind does it become the fault of the 7 bidders or the bid process itself? hmmmm.

An NRL club isn't worth $100mil lol Especially a new start up. 50% of Dragons sold for $10mill. Knights and Titans licenses sold for $2mill. LAst year Souths, oneof the games biggest clubs was valued at $46mill.

If you could buy a $100mill company for $50mill that was delivering strong annual returns trust me there would be a dozen groups knocking down Vlandys door to buy the license. That there is only one and they are die hard WA RL fans tells you something.
Dont talk about the Knights Red as the agreement was after Tinkler was West Newcastle would put $10 million towards a COE. Done delivered 20 million Coe built.

this is speculation anyway, there's been no official comment on the actual bid beyond the license fee for them all from the NRL. There had been talk of east coast investment for months, they were named in the submission. Vlandys would have to have been pretty blind to have been blindsided lol.
Maybe cause the discussion were Informal like the license fee was supposed to be ?

Haven’t seen Central Coast mentioned for a while …Maybe could share the Mariners name ?

Get the old Hunter Mariners base on board?
Funny enough

I recommended the exact same thing to the Hunter Mariners management in 1995

I guess CC soccer pinched my idea
