does anyone listen to this station over there ,,, because they mentioned the stadium upgrade 6 months ago and no one batted an eyelid …

so it’s only newsworthy in Perth now because PVL mentioned it and there is an election due ?

Also, did the meeting in Sydney between Cook and PVL in November get much attention in Perth, where pretty much everything in the Tele article this week was reported then in the SMH?

He won’t reply to ya because what ya writing proves perthwrongs is an agenda driven dildo. Everything ya said contradicts his status quo and as such cob will ignore this and what red bears said other day about why consortium failed and keep blowing on cumins skin flute belting out the same tune of “they should have been given license” lol

Thanks for all the links you find dunno how you do but it’s very informative
i try to do proper researching online and through physical media ie papers. this is why im pro redblackbears statements because when y collate all the info at hand, he is pretty much on the money each time.

take this article for example. Libs have already said they’d look at funding and investing into west Aussie rugby league pre election. Was in article last week! Then election is on and they change their tune because they already made a big deal about labours negotiations and making deals with arlc. but once the smoke settles they’ll go back to saying we would make deals with arlc too lol.

people reckon it’s not an election issue and it might not be a big one sure but it clearly is an issue regardless. Look at the media swarm last week from both political parties. Statements galore.

this is done, whether ink is dry done or verbal done not sure but it’s done either way. ya don’t get this defensive over $320m article yet don’t say anything about the $500m article 3 months ago lol… cmon only got defensive because it’s suppose to be hush hush until after election and needed to pour cold water to a clear leak. Even pvl not saying anything flags that it was a coordinated statement by cookie/pvl. Pvl loves media bargy and this one he says nothing? Yeah right.

Your levels of not being able to read the room regarding the consortiums failure (why it was rejected) or taking in what’s been explained is getting comical mate.

It isn’t correct. It’s not a license fee. It’s the junior rugby league pathways and infrastructure program investment for WA. It’s always been the case. Wording is key.
It's still $120M of government funding, which is no doubt politically sensitive.

NDA

Pvl can’t talk about those figures
Given how open Cook has been about this, it's highly doubtful there is an NDA in place.

Wrong! One is funding for return ie kids sports and facilities upgrades therefore incentive and they would have control over it given its their fields, their schools and junior clubs are in their state and the other is a payment to a private organisation without return. Clear difference Kennardshire.

clearly there is an nda given no one is talking about figures and as reported Friday that no figures would be flagged until after election.

Just cause ya too dense to make sense of it all doesn’t mean it doesn’t line up cob. Try again

Cookie hasn’t leaked any of the actual details that have been agreed to

He’s denied speculation from the opposition that came from a leak

He got upset over $320m report but was all sweet with $500m report lol.

ticked off at news of $200m stadium upgrade but his own government officials casually flagged $300-$350m upgrades last year lol.

Ya only get upset like this when the truth comes out and ya weren’t ready for the truth to come out and need to shepherd and manage the leak.

The real figure is 470 to 500 million plus free rent for a year and increased junior spending is the arl matches it

Hbf will end up a very good stadium to be fair

Just think for a second why would anyone be ok and not refute $500m but then be annoyed at $320m? That’s a massive $180m difference.

I reckon nrl asked for $500m originally and that was rejected and the $320m is actually cookies pledged commitment and what’s been agreed too. Cookie wasn’t upset at $500m because it wasn’t his offer and therefore can’t go back to him and he can brush it off.

$320m however can get back to him and therefore can actually be an election issue and he would need to explain it. Lol

$200m for a stadium make over is very reasonable anyways. The stadium is gonna require it eventually.

$12m a year for a decade junior funding is more than reasonable by year 5 one could argue it’ll be too little so west Aussie gov would fund it for a steal between 5th and 10th year. That’s because everything else is rising in cost but that pledge stays the same.

some of ya’s been living in caves or something by looks of it.

I reckon funding is 10 years because that’s how long nrl expect to own club until they sell it. I reckon it’s $320m because nrl are gonna pump $32m a year into club For a decade.

That will look like $18m club grant that’s already in place now and a further $12m to maintain and help west Aussie bears club grow. That’s the dollar for dollar pledge. That $12m yearly over and above payment on top of club grant from nrl is equal to the $12m yearly pathways and infrastructure payment from west Aussie gov.

He is going to take some serious political damage, if he is openly denying any deal has been done, and then backtracks on it post election.

People who see NRL's ceiling as a mini AFL for various reason don't want to see this team happen. This tells me game is on right track.
Perth Red for 20 years said the nrl needs a national competition like afl to get the same tv deals

Then when a Perth teams will be added says they won’t get much afl viewers from wa watching and they should just play games at the same time as the eagles

I think the team can, and will happen, my preference, for all expansion teams in non-traditional areas is that it's run and operated by the NRL for a period(say 10 years).

My concern here, is that we are torpedoing Perth by getting to demanding to the Govt.

You posted this cob. Again with your love affair on the consortium. Get over it

also news flash. West Aussies owned the reds! Ya know who were $1.2m in the red by end of 94 before a game was even played in 95! Lol. Ya know who jumped to sl and had to sell their franchise rights to news ltd and then the admins of reds (west Aussies) were $10m in the red by end on 97.

for a bloke who claims to be their biggest fan ever ya sure don’t know shit about them cob

where’s ya coffee dates with geriatric former reds officials and secret government service sources now ya cuckold
Newsflash news ltd owned the reds when it was closed and relocated to melbourne

Mate that will be long forgotten when the next election rolls around and hopefully the Perth franchise is mid-table and packing out HBF every other week and doing their state proud.

Also being rewarded by the NRL with other League events won`t hurt either.
