Maybe none.. I had this crazy thought that these politicians aren't always honest and often just try to say just enough to get as many votes as possible..
Now they're in power.. do they really give a f**k what Perth Red thinks? And pull out all the stops to get funding for his team?

Nobody in WA would be paying attention to whether or not they get an NRL team . Only a very very small percentage of people move 5000km away from an NRL team while simultaneously caring this much.
There's only so many Perth Red level contradictory people in existence.

I'm pumped for a Perth team and even more so pumped if the NRL can squeeze every last penny out of the government there to do it!!
What I'm not pumped about? Putting any faith in anything that comes out of a politicians mouth.

Parra and allianz was already locked in prior to that particular promise. The promise (may 2022) was for $800mil spend, originally for anz, then at request of nrl pivoted to spend on suburban grounds. So far all that has come out of that pledge is $300mill for Penrith and a little bit for LO.
