Probably because of the arguments people are making for why the fee is required. One of the claims is that they need to pay a fee for the right to buy into the revenue. Why is the Dolphins being an established brand relevant to that?
Because if it goes pear shaped the Dolphins had the money and resources in place to recover unlike Peter Cumins and his consortium, I’m still wondering why Cumins and his cohorts had to have the Sydney Kings guys on board, where were all of these WA private backers we kept hearing about ?.

I might be wrong, but shouldn't the NRL then have had something in the bid document that you have to provide a bank guarantee of X dollars, rather than saying pay what you feel like? I suggest any fee paid would have gone to the clubs as a sweetener to approve the new team and would not have been saved to cover the event that it went pear shaped.

Stop it, you're making far too much sense for this sub-forum ;)

I don't know this for a fact, but for the Dolphins I would assume legally the entity that owns the Leagues clubs and assets is totally separate from the Football Club operations.

And if its not, they should be.

So I would assume there is no legal obligation for the Leagues club to bail out the footy club, and its just goodwill at best.

But then how is paying $20m to bribe other clubs going to help the team when it goes pear shaped? Surely that $20m is better used on the running of the team to stop it going pear shaped in the first place.

Is It true that CashConverters are offering payday loans from this week with 0% interest and Zero money down ??! lol.
When people are going to hock their stuff at cash converters they should have a box where you can offer to pay nothing

See how long their business runs on zero

Maybe it will be used to pump up the prize money for 'The Everest'

You’re most likely right. It’ll be Beattie, maybe Jones and maybe even Abdo tbh.

PVL has his horse racing commitments to worry about generally from here on end.
Pvl has a full time job as ceo of nsw racing he’s always busy with them any way

He probably puts in crazy hours

Abdo runs the game and implements the policy decided by the board

Abdo does all the hard yards (which he is well paid for)

But when he’s needed he’s (pvl) there for rugby league
