Not sure who you're listening to on Norths having little interest in funding but even if they did come to the table with an amount that equated to 25% ownership it sounded like it was more important to everyone on the WA side for it to be 100% WA owned and operated.Bears fans have told me consistently that Norths have little interest in funding the football side of things. Be it now or for a Perth NRL club. Pretty sure if theyd have come forward with $10mill+ theyd have got 25% ownership. They had the ideal opportunity to pay the license fee and get a share of ownership if they were desperate to do so.
I've heard the investment was between $4-6Million, though I've also heard that figure was from the club itself and a contributor to their low financial rating heading towards rationalisation. They put in money to build central coast stadium

Clearly not given they had already agreed to 15% being owned by East coast investors. Not sure who you're listening to on Norths having little interest in funding but even if they did come to the table with an amount that equated to 25% ownership it sounded like it was more important to everyone on the WA side for it to be 100% WA owned and operated.
You been reading/listening to Bruce Rickard’s tripe on your group too much.Bears fans have told me consistently that Norths have little interest in funding the football side of things. There would be no need to change the number of games just because Norths LC had a 1/4 ownership? They could have demanded that as part of buying in but then the rest of the group would need to decide if that was the best thing for the club and if the money on offer merited such a significant impact on the club.Great so that leads to 3 games in Sydney.
The govt still builds the CoE over there?

Its why when people say the Western Bears bid didn't get Sydney investors(even though they did lol) its rubbish unless you know what an investor is willing to offer and what they want in return.
Probably not, WA govt wants as many games in perth as possible, thats why they are doing it. They are as much an investor expecting some return as anyone else (in fact by far the biggest investor)
You would have a say, you'd have a seat on the board which is more than NS had in the original model. More games is never going to happen so if that's the only reason for investing then they wont be doing so regardless. What is it for an investor if you have no say or extra games particularly for a community owned Leagues club?

You've nailed why the NRL insisting the Bears be part of this is such a onerous request. Then they aren't investing.
It really is that simple, There is nothing in for them to invest in a fully WA side.
The owner of the Sydney Kings for example has a marketing company, That he can use all across Australia.
That is the investment you will get. Not a club that needs to be in Sydney to get its money back.
Karens gotta Karen wahwahwah bears in perf NRL bad wahwahwah, seems like every post you make here proves how much you cry about the existence of this bidThe peanut who at the drop of a hat goes on badly punctuated rants crying about how fumbleball gets more money wah wah wah accusing people of being Karens.
You are almost the bestest rugby league fan eva!
You've nailed why the NRL insisting the Bears be part of this is such a onerous request.
Any serious Bears fan will not see this as anything more than a quasi- team, and Norths themselves are investing nothing into it.
No argument from me and probably why they werent asked to invest in first place. That and the Western Bears bid thought by raising $30mil they had enough to make it work. Then they aren't investing.

Not whinging peanut, I'm just not after the title of bestest rugby league fan eva!
I have always supported a team in Perth. I will not get behind this nonsense bear involvement. The bears time has passed.
It amazes me that dolts who are all about the future (which expansion in essence is) are happy to get a club that has been defunct from top level league for 25 years back.
