WA BEARS

So it is okay for you if three key Raiders players jump over to PNG to take up their tax free option ?, I honestly can’t see the clubs or the players union agreeing to this rubbish.
The fact the you bag the Bears out at every opportunity yet ignore this shows how much you actually dislike the Bears.
Kinda losing interest in the bears right now, seems like the racist centy coast is getting flustered over the lack of bid attention WA is getting

True, but I only believe in an Australian competition, the other is what International rugby league is for and it isn’t up to our Government to support or the NRL to foster other Countries development in rugby league.
If the PNG were behind the PNG bid then fine, why should PNG get help when other bids don’t, it is total bias and favouritism.
It’s the way the world works.

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

I’m in favour on all 3 getting in. I actually want all 4 to get in. 20 team comp is what’s reported and admittedly quoted on but during Magic Round there were murmurs it could go to 21 should all 4 areas be viable options.

Timeline could be a 15/20 year spread. SEQld is growing too quickly to deny Ipswich for any longer than 15/20 years. Eventually they’ll have a team as well.

So now I’m rascist because I think the NRL should only be an Australian competition, okay.
And go back to spelling lessons dumbarse.

So what do you want to do about the warriors?

Let me think: give them the chop and give their licence to the North Sydney Bears playing out of North Sydney Oval.

If 21 becomes the plan (PNG, NZ 2, Perth AND another SE Queensland team) then team 22 becomes a very interesting choice - potentially we have NZ 3, Adelaide, another Queensland team (Central Qld?), Fiji heck even Central Coast as various shades of possible.

Location kills us here.

Australia has a country to the North to the East ready to join.

Put that situation in Europe or Asia. You'd be looking at 20-30m people. Problem is they are little islands or in PNG's case poor.

So the growth potential is huge for the game. Even if the areas need a leg up now

In a way PNG becomes important for further expansion beyond.

There are going to be more than 30 quality players come from their system once that system is in place and firing on all cylinders.

It could be critical to player resource pool moving forward. WA or any side for that matter could easily have 2/3 PNG born players in their system.

PNG isn’t short on RL players but it is short on resources and adequate management to up skill and identify players.

By the time png start firing 'on all 4 cylinders' people will be asking their robot servants in their flying cars what that phrase means.

I think by then Adelaide would be an attractive city. Getting off the east coast by going to Perth will increase the games' profile there.

So kick the warriors out and no second team for nz ?

How’s that going to help int competition ?

Thats very insular thinking

Yeah, I'd have to think Adelaide would figure in that scenario.

It would be the biggest population centre without a place in the top tier - and most other options would either be too low in population or just risk cannibalizing other teams' supporter bases.

Actually I didn’t mind the Warriors when they initially came in but it has taken many, many years for them to get established despite having a whole Country to call their own, had to change the tongue on their logo due to proposed bad luck, many players didn’t want to go play there, changed their colours to their national colours then back again, numerous owners.
I personally would rather an Australian based Competition, International football is for Test football imo.

How’s the nz test team going to go when they don’t have the warriors ?

Nz tv deal is 32 million pa

30 percent of all nrl players are from nz

lol

Nrl is the only way international rugby league can develop

Being limited to Australia limits growth it’s just so close minded

Your opinion on what’s best for the game shouldn’t be so easily swayed.

I’m pretty sure that the NZ test team defeated Australia many times with players like Gary Freeman, Mark Graham, Clayton Friend, Olsen Filipaina, Fred Ah Kuoi, the Sorensen Brothers Kurt and Dane, Hugh McGahan, Sean Hope, Tawera Nikau, Kevin Tamati, Jarrod McCracken before the Warriors were even in the competition.
Most NZ Test players still haven’t even laced a boot for the Warriors as they were raised is Aust.

One off wins never a final or World Cup

So the nrl should just turn down the 32 million sky nz pay and stop the 30 percent of kiwi players from coming here and playing for our clubs ?

lol
