They wouldn’t have announced the games in Perth if the deal wasn’t already donecan you share with us? you think this has potential to be wrapped, signed and delivered by mid december or will it spill into the new year?
well there is random souths guy everywhere. why cant other clubs have a random "insert club" guy. including bears. warriors are getting fans rocking their gear in all sorts of different places globally, saying up the wahs and alot dont even live in nz. i think it's pretty cool. One of the biggest bears fans on here is a Queenslander. Has been all his life
That’s the thing about Sydney clubs they have fans all over Australia
hey wb curiosity got the best of me so i went back and searched some stuff in this thread. for the above, isn't crawford an ex nrl executive? i googled his name and lo & behold he is on the norths board right now. the timing is incredibly convenient. you think we are gonna see crawford as a main figure on a possible west aussie bears board? He posted on here the arl wanted a board seat on the wa bid and named Tony Crawford as the person
I thought this was total bs then a week later the media reported this so I knew he was reliable
That’s the thing about these forums is people make up so many bs conspiracy theories then ignore the people that actually know what’s going on and mock them for making it up (not saying that’s me lol)
Red and black bear first raised the issue of the arl wanting thier nominee on the board of the Western bearshey wb curiosity got the best of me so i went back and searched some stuff in this thread. for the above, isn't crawford an ex nrl executive? i googled his name and lo & behold he is on the norths board right now. the timing is incredibly convenient. you think we are gonna see crawford as a main figure on a possible west aussie bears board?
do you think he is the conduit between nrl/arlc and bears? i read in one of the articles yesterday that the bears were informed of outcome of nrl/west aussie gov meeting straight away. now i do need glasses, this is true but even my fuzzy eyes can see the dots joining here.
I can tell you that there are way too many Victorians who frequent these forums. This sounds like the opinion on someone not in Sydney who does not understand Sydney.
So do clubs everywhere you pelican. One of the biggest bears fans on here is a Queenslander. Has been all his life

Hmm.. that sounds rather "Gate-keeper"-ish to me. I'd like to think having people from all parts in these forums is a good thing.I can tell you that there are way too many Victorians who frequent these forums.
So with the great news of yesterday we now hold our breath until the club meeting (anyone know what date that is?) for the clubs to ratify club 18 and 19 admission. Should be signed sealed and delivered by Xmas hopefully! Good timing with 3 nrl events in perth first half of next year to sign up members and get some hype going!
You know which trouble making, trolling, RL hating, fumbleball supporting vic tards i meanHmm.. that sounds rather "Gate-keeper"-ish to me. I'd like to think having people from all parts in these forums is a good thing.
Expanding the game, right?
Weak & also picking a fight with the Broncos, Titans & Dolphins that doesn't need to be fought now.Expanding to WA is the tough option, and the bravest by the NRL.
That it's going to extract some contra out of the Govt is even better.
The weak option would have been QLD5 so early after QLD4.
I never said it would cost Perth any new fans.
Look adopting the Bears brand isn't necessary for fans in Perth, plain and simple. They'll likely support a team named Bears, Pirates, Reds or Dust-Mites.
The only reason it's being done is an appeal to tradition which effectively means throwing a bone to Sydney fans who pine for the "good old days" of a suburban competition.
I`ll tell you exactly what happened, the NRL parachuted Tony Crawford onto the Bears board, this was very early in the negotiations stage, from memory directly after the Cummins bid was rejected, I pointed out on here that that struck me as an awful coincidence, @Red&BlackBear actually responded to my post saying he hadn`t thought of that good point or words to that effect. So maybe not as up to speed as your making out.Red and black bear first raised the issue of the arl wanting thier nominee on the board of the Western bears
I called him out on it. He named Tony Crawford as the guy. I was still sceptical
Then a few days later it came out in a media story Crawford being the guy they wanted on the board so I knew red and black bear was getting good info
Nrl taking control is them not trusting Cummins to run the bid in a way which didn’t harm the bears interest
The bears had left everything to the Cummins bid to deal with the arl directly which was pretty dumb imo
If Crawford does go onto the Perth bears board he will be looking after norths and the arl interest
Only 2 kick off times are bad for Perth viewers. Thursday night and the early Friday game. 2 out of 9 isn't horrible. How many on the East Coast will tune into to watch the dustmites?
The Perth timezone is great for us in the East. Horrible the other way around.
QLD isn't shut for adding new teams so no existing brand up there is going to partner.
That is why Jets and Bears were in these discussions.
Remember Peter Beattie is handling expansion for the ARLC. He isn't going to do any old Sydney teams favours.... Bris 3 is the reason

West Coast BeardsTheir value is bringing back the beard brand and also extra content for existing tv viewers in eastern states
Actually it's only 1 out of 9. Thursdays are 6pm too.6pm Friday night isn't bad?
What if the 9th game is a Monday night?
That is 4/9 games starting when People are on the commute home.
Hence why they wanted a name that adds 50k viewers to whatever Perth draws in the timeslot
