What hurdles are the ARLC & WA Gov working through at the moment?
Unknown for sure, but what we do know is the WA govt is very insistent on the governance of the club and guarantees it is and will always be a Perth club and Vlad has been pushing hard for the Govt funding level to be increased.

There was issues about how much junior funding the wa govt would fund

Wa govt probably wants guarantees the team will remain in Perth

Apparently it’s all been sorted a month ago just getting documents drawn up and signed by the various parties who come back from holidays soon
It wasnt all sorted a month ago, there was in principle agreements on some of the key points like matched grassroots funding and WA govt picking up the table for the Freo temp training centre. But like I said there was still numerous hurdles, what they are and if they have been overcome we await to see.

Too many sauces on here

Either way bears are back is a great way to start off the season going to a hopefully sold out Vegas

And it will get a mention in the wa media as if it wouldn’t

More election pledges today from Roger, just not yet for RL. Today its $12.5mill for sports hub in Bellevue and $23mill for outdoor activities like fishing and cycling. Seems this week has a sporting theme to it, maybe a sign?

Timing it not to clash with anything doesn't matter at all. Look at the PNG announcement, it was news for a few days then nothing.
PNG didn't matter though did it? It's all reliant on Government money and means nothing to Australians

It's pretty important that a Perth team gets maximum exposure media wise in WA.

I hope the ARLC realise this and don't just focus on the couple of thousand Bears fans in NS as their target audience

If no announcement is made in the next week will you leave this place?! Surely you can't keep posting insider information which never pans out?!

All the focus so far has been for norths so I'll be interested on how the ARLC run the club. As far as media goes there will be a lot of talk about about why taxpayers are paying for a Sydney club's revival.

They’re not though. As it currently stands, WA taxpayers are essentially paying for the codes infrastructure via pathways and development systems implemented both in school programs and junior footy clubs whilst also paying for the upgrade of local facilities and HBF stadium.

NRL are paying for the club.

Therefore the positive media spin will be that WA taxpayers are funding 1) junior sports (where the predominant funded code just so happens to be rugby league however the facilities won’t be purely for it alone) and 2) required upgrades to HBF where 3 local clubs in the shape of Glory, Force and Bears call home.
