It’s funny seeing the Perth fans admitting how they are no chance of getting afl fans watching their team but the 6 pm time slot is valuable for viewers in eastern states

What a bad way to do expansion if that’s true

If you aren’t getting afl fans over to support the club where are you getting game from
You know the Sunday 6 pm slot isn’t on for half the season either
It will be when there’s ten games a weekend, in all likelihood.
lol if we are reliant on converting afl fans we are in trouble.
Just because you jumped ship ……

FrI night sht for fans
Sat afternoon nrlwa comp time
sat evening yep said that
sun 2pm yep but why then force a sht fan time on an east coast club?
sun 4pm by far the most logical time for Perth to play at home

so basically two slots work really well for perth and the other clubs..
whole point of expansion is to add to what’s already there. not take away from it.

if defeats purposes of it if west Aussie tv numbers increase yet same times east coast number decrease all because of silly game times.

perthwrongs, ding dong

Is NZ really that critical a TV market for a WA team???
is nrl sold as package or individual games like nfl? there’s your answer

Let’s expand to an afl state and then not try and convert fumblers to watch rugby league

Genius

As long as we get soccer and union fans we will be just fine

My ex pat mate lives near the margaret river and it's AFL all over but says the NRL is much talked about and respected and thinks the NRL would do well (again) if they had a team.
WA is very different to SA which is very much dominated by AFL alone. WA has a much broader appreciation of other sports. SA is basically a dead duck at this time.
