Looks like NS are getting fans used to seeing yellow on the jersey :)

No coincidence that dolphins had Redcliffe, PNG the hunters and of course Perth the bears. Probably a big reason Vlandys wanted bears attached. Gives them a base to hit ground running. Doomers trying to spin it into a negative.
yeah but doomers be dooming cob. it’s all conspiracies and negativity. remember two wrongs don’t make a right, two+ wrongs make a Perthwrongs

Bears are for TV/Away crowds. It doesn't fix the pathway issues. It helps but still leaves holes

think you’re right but pretty sure one big ticket item was pathways as per arlc (vlandys) own admission.

having infrastructure already in place and all but 2 reserve grades competing (jersey flegg and Harvey Norman). I think it brings costs down, easier to fly and house the best of the west Aussie kids during the season showing ability then create a whole team that’ll be on a hiding to nothing. this would be short term anyways eventually once west Aussie pathways make some sense then it’ll be a transition to be fully located there, I assume

Of course but there’s a hell of a lot more top suburbs 20mins from bold park than there is ballajura lol. Good luck getting to ballajurra in 20 mins from coast In a morning. Mind you they’ve promised to sort out erindale rd junction so that will help

not to mention the heat out there for training in compared to the coastal strip.
it’s just a poor choice for location, imo
Poor location? 20 mins to the coast, 25 mins to the city , 10 mins to the airport and next to a train station, on a greenfield site.

FMD, It's a place of work.

Can’t see W.A. pathways ever supporting an nrl team at least not in under 50 to 100 years

If they can get to 20 percent of the top 30 being actual W.A. juniors that would be a huge result

Can’t see that happening for 20 to 30 years

How long will it take the storm to get to that level and the population of vic is around five times W.A. and the storm have close to a 30 year head start

Storm don’t have 30 year head start at all in terms of local player development , they’ve only just got interested in vic in last 12 months, and until a couple of years ago wa had more jnrs playing than vic so population is irrelevant.

if done right at all levels I’d expect to see wa jnrs coming through within ten years.

The inclusion of the Bears is purely for their benefit. They make Perth no more viable than what it already was going to be. Let’s not pretend otherwise.
