Christchurch would be the best fit if Perth falls over given the colour matches already

think its safe to say it'll be west aussie bears one way or another. dont think that changes. unless red bears has banana bender mates in qld and pulling strings.

btw i heard a rumour online that red bears is billy more or someone who used to be part of the bears set up lol @Red&BlackBear are you billy more cob?

If they get the deal done in March they will have three opportunities to promote the new club in 2025. If they've had time to set anything up by then of course.

You would hope so, but it depends how much ground work the NRL is doing right now, and has been doing since turning the bid down in October. They may not even have a name let alone all the stuff needed to sell memberships in place come April or June 2025.

At the very least I hope they've got off their arses and got NRL marketing team involved ready to hand out some flags or something of the new clubs name and some promo videos done to show on the big screens. But like said they may be leaving the name to the new board which may not be in place for some time, unless they have people lined up.

The intimation was that the NRL and WA govt would choose the board members. Its possible the NRL has been talking to its preferred people and the WA govt to people in the West, but there has been no rumours on this side of that happening yet.
