The more I see that side on Bear the more I like it, though the bottom right Bear updated would be my preference.Interesting to think about the brand direction and compare some fans ideas against the direction current NRL clubs logos are moving. Will they go with a cleaner digital friendly like the top two, a more traditional sheild design like or just a tweak of the current bear face?
Most clubs are moving to a cleaner digital design with less colour and detail, some have dropped name altogether, a couple still hanging on to the older logo in a shield but not many of them.

What makes ya think it’ll still be called western bears? Why you trying to push ya shit logos here? Why does second from top have west Aussie state outline as an ear and it look like a dog? Why you ignore redbears post where he said there’s 2 posters here who are graphic designers and have worked with bears?Interesting to think about the brand direction and compare some fans ideas against the direction current NRL clubs logos are moving. Dragons updated to 2 logos. The traditional full shield with name and St George, horse and Dragon which be the official jersey design. But for digital (and other) use they have pulled the Dragon out, enlarged and simplified as a secondary logo.9/17 current ones can be used without words. Whatever we go with we should be aim to be able to do the same.
When I was a youngster I’m sure I had footy cards with Norths having a sideways, walking Bear. Like the California flag - so facing towards the right. The more I see that side on Bear the more I like it, though the bottom right Bear updated would be my preference.
As long as it looks good.
That secondary should be the new primary.Dragons updated to 2 logos. The traditional full shield with name and St George, horse and Dragon which be the official jersey design. But for digital (and other) use they have pulled the Dragon out, enlarged and simplified as a secondary logo.
The Dogs have been using the dog without the shield for the same purposes for years now as well.Dragons updated to 2 logos. QRL clubs have more to lose, because NRL reserve grade would see them slip from 2nd to 3rd tier right away, whereas the only NSW Cup teams that would slide back are Norths (which would get some form of 2nd tier presence via Perth Bears reserve grade) & Newtown. He just upped the QRL grant from $20mill to $25mill. But yeh money always sweetens the deal. Most Qlnd NRL clubs are supportive of having a reserve grade side rather than QL cup sides. NSWRL cup is 90% there anyway so dont see what NSWRL objection would be.
Melbourne Storm have Brisbane Tigers and Sunshine Coast Falcons (North Sydney Bears).QRL clubs have more to lose, because NRL reserve grade would see them slip from 2nd to 3rd tier right away, whereas the only NSW Cup teams that would slide back are Norths (which would get some form of 2nd tier presence via Perth Bears reserve grade) & Newtown.
broncos also have souths logan magpies.Melbourne Storm have Brisbane Tigers and Sunshine Coast Falcons (North Sydney Bears).
Brisbane Broncos have Burleigh Bears and Wynnum Manly Seagulls.
Gold Coast Titans have Tweed Heads Seagulls and Ipswich Jets.
Dolphins have Redcliffe Dolphins (Runners Up) and Norths Devils (Premiers).
North QLD Cowboys have the Northern Pride and Mackay Cutters.
Unlike NSW Cup sides, aside from the Bears, the NRL talent dropping back is divided among multiple teams.
