The banks will either hold your cash or assets as security for the guarantee. There needs to be something tied into it and yes, cash in the bank forms the basis of a guarantee. Just means the cash is in your bank as opposed to the clients bank.

Incorrect, it’s $50m total. There’s 11 hectares of land tied into it.
With a guaranteed income grant of $18-20mill a year from NRL there plenty of confidence for a bank to give a guarantee, but yes Dolphins also had their assets to get that bank confidence. between the 6 businessmen's hundreds of millions of personal and business assets they obviously didnt have any problem getting a bank guarantee either.

If png juniors are no good why does hull kr have an agreement to take them plus sign png players ?

lol
HKR have a proud 20+ year history of supporting the game in a third world country. Could call it charity I suppose.
We also signed a SG Pirates player and had a HKR player come over and play for the JBC Reds lol

The NRL should never have asked for an upgrade for the ground as part of the initial deal ….they overreached there

This potential spend just gets attributed to them when it’s an upgrade to an existing Govt owned asset that will also benefit several other sports …

why not though?

what if government changes and theres 0 chance of upgrade and we have another liecthardt or shark park or kograh stadium? everything had to be belted out this time otherwise chances of it going through later would be slim.

if glory and force were half decent maybe they could have asked later but both sides suck boodoo.

The article hints that she isn’t opposed to a future upgrade of hbf park

This is all just all political gesturing

Sounds like she still wants to negotiate with the nrl too

And despite the headline the wa opp also supports an nrl team on the same basis the labor govt is proposing

Politicians are twats

think we can agree that west aussie politicians are 2 hours behind the rest of australia and im not talking about time zones.

also going off the cave facebook site its evident that the education system in west aussie has failed its locals including the pollies.

I dont mind the ask, I think its an important piece of the puzzle. What is a problem is it is seemingly all ask with no give. And for politicians in an AFL state trying to champion a 'foreign' sport it needed to be handled with kid gloves, sadly that is not Vlandys way.

Like I said announce the license granted with WA govt and NRL contributions

In 6 months announce an upgrade to HBF park alongside the 3 sports who will benefit. Use the Int soccer events Perth is hosting as justification for why its needed for future.

It was interesting choice of words by Rita, "no plans for immediate upgrade"

If someone came on this forum knowing nothing about rugby league then the quickest way to learn is to read pr posts and know the opposite is true every single time

I was surprised when red bear said the nrl was matching govt funding

well … the NZ bids are still waiting to hear back from PVL and that’s been six months …

I would have just waited a couple of years …. The NRL needed to concern themselves with money going to their sport initially …

I thought there was arguments that the ground had an upgrade when the Women’s World Cup was played 2 years ago …is it really that bad now?
