He’s happy to support the same package cook is now
“At the right time, for the right price, a WA NRL team will be fine - but it must be for a fair price and the public must know how much we are paying.”

I.e. they’ll take what I give them, he thinks what Labor was offering was way too much.

The other offer is as much as “rugby league” fan cook is offering now

With friends like him who needs enemies
You didnt answer, do you honestly believe that at any point in time the WA Govt has said theyll happily pay out $500mill for an NRL club? Simple question given you believe the $70mil on offer is a 85% reduction on something.

It was $320m. Thats what they all agreed on prior to election. Hence why the NRL kept powering forward.

The funniest thing out of all of this is multiple ARLC commissioners, Abdo and V’Landys, Cook, Saffioti and Albanese will all be sharing a corporate box together at the double here not even batting an eye lid at there events.

As I said, they won’t lose sleep over it. That’s business.

Well no it wasnt, some of that the consortium was going to fund, the rest the WA govt has agreed to fund. So NRL has turned down all of these things that would have been in place

34 jnr clubs across wa and ns - already exist and bolstered by WA Govt funding
established pathways in ns, govt funds to develop in wa - covered
history in bears brand - covered
assets in owners and guarantees - WB bid had bank guarntees and guranteed workign capital
cofe offered to be built - WA govt agreed to fund

So if theyd accepted the bid in October all of this was covered! Plus the clubs could have got a $20mil bribe.
It wasn't enough

Someone told me that the norths members were told that if Cook didn't come to the party then PVL would send the bears to NZ. Have you heard that?

Interesting if it's accurate. Not doubting the guy that told me but I wonder if some of the norths guys on here were at the meeting.

I just can’t get past square one with NZ … who is offering to pay for the COE and $25mil with junior development like is on the table with Perth ?
