you been lying about having sources. ya been lying about your inside information. you been lying about your reds friend. youre whole life when it comes to footy is a big lie. no one here makes as many outlandish comments and points only to be proven completely wrong as you do.

you're so gassed on your own medicine you dont know the difference between up or down. youre a joke. you over sensationalise everything, youre a shit fan in general. terrible advocate for west aussie rugby league, biggest reds fans yet by your own admission you didnt even live in australia when they were around lol. your whole shtick on this forum is built on lies and when you gets called out for it, you hide and deflect.

He'll immediately start advocating for consolidation of the comp, an increased salary cap for WA , complain about the travel, advocating for a new stadium, demand to become independent of the Bears, Perth should have 2 teams, Poms shouldn't have to pay tax and get free parking, Hull needs a 3rd team, abolished all Sydney clubs into 1 ...

It'll never with this f**kwitt.

The term " whinging pom" takes on a whole new meaning.. he makes them blush!

Incorrect, you really should fact check! AFL contributed $2.85mill (12% ish)
Dont AFLW GWS still play there?
The point that needs to be made. There was a deal in place with the Blacktown Council (with a 20 year lease on the ground ( funded by by the Council) for an AFL team .
$27.5M worth of training facilities funded by the Council. It was expected as being part of Greater WESTERN Sydney that would be their home base.
Then they up anchor and moved to Homebush, the players living at the more salubrious Breakfast Point. Blacktown beneath them ? Was that at the direction of the AFL head honchos ? Just like ensuring Accor stadium would not become rectangular.
If they'd been upfront and stated we want to set up main base at Homebush base The Easter Show setup and have grassroots facilities at Blacktown , no problemo.
Imagine the WA Bears getting the pat on the back after a few months they renege on deals such as this ?

Western Sydney is not Homebush.Parramatta is considered more the start of Sydney West.Greater Western Sydney is also not Canberra.
The only reason we have Wests Tigers is due to Western Suburbs & the Balmain Tigers join .

NRL: WA joining competition a ‘big if’, Roger Cook says after first post-election meeting with League bosses

Roger Cook has held his first post-election meeting with NRL bosses about a WA-based team, but has tempered expectations of an imminent announcement.
Speaking after a double header on the weekend in Perth was played in front of a half-empty Optus Stadium, Mr Cook said he had a “polite’ online meeting with powerful league boss Peter V’landys and chief executive Andrew Abdo on Friday.
Refusing to be drawn on the status of talks, Mr Cook would only reveal the conversations were positive, and not soured by his comments that the League had treated WA as a “cash cow”.
The comment came after months of leaks to east coast media, revealing the NRL had demanded as much as $320 million from WA taxpayers to secure the Western Bears, including a $200 million upgrade of HBF Park.
“We continue to speak with the NRL. Those conversations are positive. I met online with the chairman and chief executive of the NRL last week. They were high-level discussions, and they will continue,” Mr Cook said.
In response to the NRL’s demands, the State Government offered a $35 million package of support to grow the League in WA through schools and the Clontarf Foundation, as well as a centre of excellence at a Malaga sporting precinct.
“They haven’t formally responded to that offer in writing, but there is a delta, and that’s what those conversations are about,” Mr Cook said on Tuesday.
Asked if the “cash cow” comment came up in the meeting, Mr Cook said: “It wasn’t raised in the conversation. It was much more polite than that.”
Mr Cook also committed to ensuring the Government would be as transparent as it could be if a final agreement was made.
“I say that’s a big if — I obviously we want to see Western Australia participate in a national another national sporting code. West Aussies love their sport, and this is good economic activity, but it has to represent value to taxpayers if we’re going to be involved,” he said.
Mr Cook’s comments come after the NRL double header on Saturday drew a crowd of just 31,000 to the 60,000-seat Optus Stadium, which he described as “pretty good”.
“It was the second-highest attended ground of the round. So we were pleased with the result. It was a great atmosphere,” he said.

All up the giants have had around 80 million

And rather than waste money on the Showgrounds they could’ve played at Accor

But they said it was too big and wanted a purpose built ground

When it comes to stadiums league just doesn’t get looked after well

Heck commbank was built more for the wanderers and Allianz because it’s multi purpose

Canberra stadium is rotting whilst the govt wants to invest in Manuka

Penrith and north qld are a rare example of league being looked after

And now we have hbf park which is on par with some suburban grounds in Sydney
The administration of our game is at fault here.

There is more stadiums used in Sydney than teams.

so what’s the “big if”?

I also thought Cook said the last time at the game that he wasn’t going to make any further comment about it until it was finalised
no big if, just the west sensationalising shit as usual. rubbish publication who are clueless because they have gotten no fresh bone of updates and need to hyperbole everything thats already been reported on

Terribly written article that’s not attributed to any journalist by name.
