Now they cant hammer Cook on cost they are now going after Vlandys on his tactics and lack of WA engagement (not that I disagree with the latter!). They have a clear agenda, just a shame they are the only newspaper in town, even if they do only reach 20% of the population. Good to see the local radio sticking up for the game here and woudl be good to see Ch9 though WA today and the local news do some positive work here.

it’s going to be a done deal in a week …so whatever “tactics “ have been used in the negotiations up to that time won’t matter …

We will see if that stops the negativity after the announcement …Im got a feeling The West still won’t be very happy about the Western Bears ..

Geez, a fair deal of insecurity from The West. To intrepret their articles, "hey we love AFL, we don't want tax payer dollars spent towards the NRL and Western Bears, because we want it to fail".

It's a pretty clear backwater agenda. I get the feeling The West had no problems where public money was used to help set up GWS and Suns in non heartland areas. In GWS case, they quickly abandoned Blacktown.

No wonder people turn off mainstream media.

And our good ole fumbler mate now known as Dylan Crapon is involved.
Taxpayers will be spending more money in Tasmania for a fumbler stadium than the Feds are spending over 10years on a PNG side(bearing in mind this is also a security issue involved hello China).
If ever I had doubts on wanting an NRL team in WA , Crapon's comments have made me more determined that it must happen. He is the WA's equivalent of Peter Fitztwaddle both endowed with bitter anti rl venom.

I agree but i also get the feeling that both parties know that if it doesn’t happen this time then it probably never will.

I can see a compromise coming between both parties.
