I’m sure we are all very curious to see how the home game thing plays out ….Chammas and Jimmy Smith in that SEN podcast I posted a page or so back were suggesting that it might just be a trial game at North Sydney … they could play 7-8 away games in Sydney at places like Allianz and Commbank amongst others
That would be ideal. If the norths fan base is as large as they claim then you wouldn't play at Campbo,Brookie or shark park.

They should average over 20k in their first year with a sold out Optus game, sold out Gosford games, and likely getting 15k+ for every hbf game.

Great news! I wonder if the 50m is spread over 5 years or 10 years anyone know?

If the bears are pulling 20k to most games the first couple years it will naturally bring the conversation back to stadium upgrades - I still think that’s feasible by 2030.

They should definitely play a couple big games a year at Optus including their very first game. NSO should be saved for trial games only. Manly should move their home game against Perth to Allianz, don’t take away any home games from Perth to Sydney.

Looking forward to the official announcement!
I’d to see the Roosters play their home game against the Bears at Central Coast Stadium.

Agree with this …

Who will be their biggest rival playing out of Perth I wonder ? Do they hate Melbourne for any reason in particular?
I was thinking Melbourne, WA and VIC have a good interstate rivalry in the CAS championships, the Storm also took the Reds place in the NRL and nabbed virtually all of their players.

Not sure the point of any home games in Central Coast to be honest, the Sydney clubs can do that.

If they have to have one game in Sydney use the Gadhu Gathering round as a bit of a mask and use Allianz, NSO can host a trial. Agreement should be the Sydney game means they are always the away team at Magic, 11 games in Perth puts them on par with other one team cities like Melbourne, Auckland, Gold Coast & Canberra.

Bears V Sea Eagles
Rabbitohs V Eels
Roosters V Bulldogs
Tigers V Dragons

All at Allianz Thursday-Sunday.

The above is a great idea.

1 trial game at NSO
1 Heritage round home game against Manly at SFS. Go all out on this one, keep it Sydney and on a Sunday and I believe this will turn into another event game.

If not during the Gadhu round but i'd make the Bears the Sunday game.

Rest of games in Perth.

The Hobart stadium is about to be resolved - it has bypartisan support and will be pushed though parliament in a couple of months. On track for 2028.

Similarly, the NRL has leverage until contracts are signed, After that, it will be much harder to get anything done. Especially if WA has a different Premier.
Nah, I reckon its a lot easier to demonstrate value if you have a team and you are showing support.

Absolutely not!
First game at Perth Stadium. 60 000.
Their first game in Sydney to be at Allianz vs Manly. Another sellout.
Save that dump NSO for a nostalgia game against Sharks or Cowboys or another low drawing club. It would be another sellout.
North Sydney Oval should only be used once a season, just like the Dogs do with Belmore.
Even that once is one times too many tbh.
North Sydney Oval should be used for nothing more than a training venue when the club is in NSW for a game.

It would make more sense for the Bears to play there as an "away" team.

Trial games only if you ask me. Cumins bid agreement with norths was a game on the central coast. That may still be the case.
Central Coast stadium is a better venue but perhaps the club could come to an agreement with east coast clubs to host their home games against the Bears there. I.e. Souths and Easts. They already take games there.
