No, why would it squeeze out Mullaney? The kid is only 20 and by the time McKinnon's contract runs out Mullaney will have 2 years to:

a) build his body to a level where he can handle first grade
b) gain experience in the State Cup playing in games of higher intencity

Good under 20 form does not mean you are ready for first grade. That's the whole problem with under 20's being promoted as the second teir when it is far from it.

Im not a huge fan of this signing, i think he is a great fill in this year but like some warrior fans alluded to when we first got him, he really is slow as a wet week and will only get slower and he has already shown he is injury prone. His support play is great but he just doesnt have to legs to turn that support into anything special.
Altho a better defender i dont think he offers anything that Gallant or someone likeLuke Burt couldnt have offered. Also he ONLY wants to play first grade so he wont accept being dropped if his form isnt up to scratch. He isnt bad but hardly a positive signing for the future.
