I agree with Pogo 100% on Peachey. Honestly, how long has it been since he has taken on the line in a kick return??? I would be happy to see ANY player in our club who can catch a ball and run STRAIGHT be given the number 1 jumper.

We have MASSIVE problems, this is only a very small part, but I agree entirely.

tell us about what impact his semi circle float around like a butterfluy and sting like a fly runs have on the side.
tell us particularly about the run to the sideline sideways showing the ball to all and sundry including the touchy that led to a dropped ball turnover and try in the next set.
tell us about the touch on amos roberts and the rest, get a tape and look at it objectively.

U mean the 6 hitups Peach made that got 56 metres compared to the 8 that Simmo got for 80 metres? A massive .5 of a metre per hitup more from our speed machine saviour.

I couldn't be bothered doing it myself, but I was going to start a thread about which players in our current squad would be considered as "Premiership winning players". It would be interesting to see what others think and where the big holes are in our playing roster.

You are comparing Peachey's kick returns to others and saying that Simmons is the answer..f**k me, Simmons cant even get out of his own in goal when it is required. That pass to peach tonight was not needed.....I could have run harder, straighter and lower to get out my in goal in that same situation . He had enough time and room if he had a clue!!

I forgive him his slip over..that happens to the best of players...but geez....you are kidding yourself if you think Simmons is the answer at fullback!!!

Rivalry turns ugly

After going down 14-8 to the Roosters last night, Sharks coach Stuart Raper wasted no time in taking a shot at counterpart Ricky Stuart. And Stuart wasted no time returning fire.

Raper said the Roosters wanted an "ugly" game, and criticised referee Shayne Hayne for letting them have it.

"I thought Shayne missed a lot of things around the ruck area that made it an ugly game, and that suited the Roosters," Raper said. "They wanted to play an ugly game . . . "

Stuart said: "He saw a completely different game of football to me.

"Our execution and our ruck attack in the first half was outstanding. If that's an untidy game of football, he's a hard taskmaster in regards to a tidy game . . . I don't understand where he's coming from there, he's obviously disappointed with the loss.

"You talk about an untidy game of football, he had his team kicking on tackle three and tackle four, what kind of tactic is that? When you talk about untidy, their whole attack was abysmal in regards to kicking on tackle three, tackle four, not completing the set of six
