interesting to see how highly david peachey rates simmons isnt it backflip.

and no as usual your a mile of the pace, its not macavaney.

ask the other blind man, and thats the one without the labrador, lol

Peachey does NOT rate Simmo highly. He's just far too much of a diplomat to say anything else publically.

peachey did not sh*tpot the club.
Do you need to see the quote where rogers said he would get a second year if he was injury free & form was good. They went back on a handshake deal.
Everybody knows this is the case.
Except for the people with pointy hats.

so much garbage from you, the club never ever reneged on any deal.

the pro peachey brigade whingeing like little girls , so much so that in the clubs latest shark attack magazine steve rogers felt compelled to state the facts.

the facts are the club told peachey he wasnt required, and the correct decision indeed.

the trouble is they dont apparently have the guts to sack him from first grade this week after last weeks and previous reserve grade style dont give a rats arse performances.

or do they?

maybe if he gets a reprieve this week he might get out onto the field with the rest of the team, who knows after the game he may even leave the fiield with the team.

even better during the game he might have a " go"

Rogers was on TV last year & categorically said that peachey would get a second year if form & fitness were up to scratch.
both clearly are.
They renegged.
Now take your pointy hat off & shove your red neck up your asss.

lol, what garbage.

well he certainly isnt in form, unless your labrador was otherwise engaged on saturday night you would have seen that.

then again you have missed his glaring errors and dont give a rats arse attitude all season, why bother having a look now!

Peachye had a shocker. His involvement seemed down. 1st bad game since Manly in rnd 3.

Simmons involvement & commitment in the game has always been down. We can thank our lucky stars for that, for the more he is involved, the bigger our defeats.

So Bongo, are you saying Rogers didnt make any statement saying that if peacheys form & fitness were up to scratch, he would get another year?
Are you saying that Peachey is a liar?
What are you saying?
Form does not come into it because besides you and a few other of your klu klux klan members, everybody in the game thinks peacheys form has been great.

So what are you saying Bongo? Will we get your usual no answer dribble from your nursing home bad where every day is a 60's day? And AFL rules the waves?

ku klux klan hey??

wow where did you get that from??

on one hand you say the club told him if he was injury free and in good form he would get another year then you say "form doesnt come into it"
thats a super backflip.

everyone in the game doesnt think his form is great, far from it.

ring , email or write to steve rogers and he might set you straight on the facts.

Simmons has had almost 50 chances and he is just as crap now as he was when he started.. If he is crap on the wing, he will be a lot worse at fullback.. I think he has been given more than enough chances to at least prove himself on the wing..

Thats right Craigshark. I wish we had got Peterson and Greenshields into our squad for next year and then the wonder child would be gornski and we would have some decent finishers and not a wannabe.

sorry Pogo

How you even compare the commitment of Peachey and Simmons.

Peachey WANTS TO STAY HERE he has been in good form for most of the year (if you can't see that change sports) and Simmons has come out saying

"Its just a game, I don't get too cut up about it"

Im not on the pro Peachey Bandwagon or the Anti Simmons Bandwagon, I just call it like I see it.

Simmons doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Peachey.

Pogo is a joke. Sometimes you have to wonder if he and DS are the same person given that they sprout the same sh*t.

Mentioning that - what happened to DS?

Firstly , loser, nobody like you will ever be able to talk about peach like that & get people to listen you. You may as well just go straight to your Klan recruitment speech, while you can cut your losses.
Secondly, this
Peachey re-signs for one year
July 20, 2004

THE news Sharks fans have been sweating on was announced today with star fullback David Peachey re-signing for another NRL season.

And Sharks CEO Steve Rogers has not ruled out extending Peachey's tenure.

"We believe David still has a lot to offer the club and are very happy that he has decided to remain at the Sharks for at least another year," Rogers said.

"And although we have agreed to a one year deal, Peach and I will be sitting down again at this time next year to discuss whether or not he may have another year in him after that.

"I guess that will be up to him and will depend on how he performs between now and then.

"We have no doubt he has plenty of good football left in him."

During the negotiations there was speculation Cronulla's favourite son was unhappy with the one-year deal offered by the Sharks and had been linked to other NRL clubs including the New Zealand Warriors.

In a statement today, the Sharks admitted there had been "a great deal of conjecture surrounding his contract negotiations".

But in a dramatic turnaround, Peachey, 30, agreed to stay for a 12th year with the NRL club with a possible extension beyond 2005.

"I'm very pleased that we've been able to come to an agreement and that I'll be staying at the Sharks next season," Peachey said.

"This is where it all started for me and I've never really wanted to play anywhere else. "This secures my future for next year and lets me get on with playing some good football for the Sharks."

The playmaker arrived at the Sharks from hometown Dubbo in 1993 at the age of 21 and quickly enjoyed cult status while securing NSW Origin (2000) and NSW Country (2003) honours as well as one Super League Test in 1997.

Peachey also enjoyed a high profile off the field, working with Aboriginal and under privileged youth and conducting clinics throughout NSW country regions.

Peachey was today named on the bench for the Sharks' NRL clash with St George Illawarra at Oki Jubilee Stadium on Sunday but is still in doubt with an on-going quadriceps injury.

He will undergo scans tomorrow.

"At this stage he has been named on a five-man bench but if fit is almost certain to take his place in the side at fullback," a team spokesman said.

Meanwhile, Rogers said the club was still talking with Parramatta and former Sharks pivot Adam Dykes who was waiting on a release from the Eels.

Rogers was hopeful of making an announcement on Dykes - who played for Cronulla from 1995-2001 before linking with the Eels - as early as this week.

And the Sharks are also negotiating with suspended half Greg Bird who comes off contract at the end of the season.
