Nathan Grey good? Now I've heard it all. Your rugby knowledge is the same as your league knowledge locky... ZERO!
Once again the Wallabies showed why they still need Gregan at scrum half. Giteau was alright, but I feel we're weakening one of our strengths to strengthen one of our weaknesses if Gregan isn't available. Still, I'd much prefer Giteau over some joker like Sheehan or Valentine... so failing the lack of a suitable option on this tour I guess Giteau has to stay. As a side note, God I laughed so hard when the Welsh commentators said that Dwayne Peel was the best scrumhalf in the world. Great comedy team those two.
I was right again about Rogers in the #10. I hoped I wouldn't be, but lo and behold another woeful performance. Rogers isn't playing well enough to be in the first XXII, let alone the first XV at the moment. I'd like to see Sheppard trialled there, I think he could be a real goer.
Waugh was useless. When we needed the captain to lead the team in the final 10-15 minutes, he disappeared. I realise he's only a rookie captain, but no excuses. We would have been infinately better off with George Smith out there.
I did like what I saw from a number of other players though, particularly Palu. Elsom was again idiotic and provided the team with nothing other than a dropped ball going for glory when all he had to do was place it back and the next man coming through would have been over.
Finally, Steve Walsh again showed why he must never again be appointed to a match involving an Australian team. He hates Australians, and it showed in his rulings, particularly that last "crossing" decision when we were pressing for a match-winning drop goal.
