You sure you didn't mix these two guys up bro? Sharpe is one of the most overrated players in Australia, whereas Vickerman is our best hope of having a competitive lineout.

no cuz, never liked vickerman much.

This would be my wallabies teasm for the world cup

15.Latham
14.Sheppard
13.Mortlock
12.Rogers
11.Tuqiri
10.Larkham
9.Giteau
8.Fava
7.Smith
6.Palu
5.McMeniman
4.Sharpe
3.Blake
2.Polata-Nau
1.Holmes

To me its the best team they can pick but its still a rag tag team campared to the all blacks

vickerman is the player saving the wallabies from being a complete laughing stock. actually, our second row isnt so bad. just the props have proved useless and i really dont know where they're going to find a decent front row. rodzilla was meant to be our saviour but hes proved to be another matt dunning - fat and useless. will david fitter's name come up in the near future?

Rodzilla was going so well for the Reds, just no jump up. Fitter work rate around the field is his problem, plus hes not even in any Super 14 team.

Will be interesting seeing how our lineout goes with Vicks.

6 months! He was just f*cken out for six months!

That would be a bloody disaster for the Aus lineout, although it would give the other options plenty of time to put their hands up...

Bugger. I didn't think it was that serious this time around, more of a precautionary thing by missing some less than important games.

Chisholm won't let you down.

Oh and aqua_duck Polota-Nau at hooker? Don't make me laugh! There's talk even now about switching him to prop because he can't throw to save himself.

He's a very good impact hooker. Good in the field, but his set play work is atrocious. I've always said that Jeremy Paul is a sh*t throw, but Polata-Nau makes him look like a god.

Polota-Nau would make a very good Prop... or maybe even Number 8...

its pretty obvious gregan has a choice between stubborness and dignity. he can quit now as probably the best wallabies halfback after catchpole and farr-jones, or he can try to take on a player thats faster and smarter than him.

tpn is a awful hooker, the reasoning behind picking him was because it was like having a 3/4 on the field playing in the front row. i agree, his position is no. 8, unless he spends the next 12 months doing nothing but learning how to throw straight and scrummage properly.

Matt Giteau said that Gregan is the best halfback Australia has ever produced. Given the hero worship of Giteau the halfback on these forums of late, his opinion should hold some water.

And I agree. Not only is Gregan still the best half in the world (as acknowledged by Giteau and others), but he will be a deserving winner if he wins the Australian of the Year, which he is nominated for.

im sure george gregan is a nice guy but that doesnt make him a great rugby player.

matt giteau, like me, never saw ken catchpole play in the flesh. the people that have seen him play are of the opinion that he was incredible. when those people include spiro zavos, a kiwi nonetheless, i usually believe it.
