As a Robbie Fan I say well done you good things!!!! Stoked for a number of reasons, mainly as it does set up a great comp, but mainly it'll hopefully shut a few of the media cheerleaders on this side of the ditch- Grant Nesbit & co raving about the ABs, how lucky the Boks were last week when the ABs were 'just getting on top'...no credit to the Boks at all, no credit, respect or chance for the Wallabies...blah blah- And ha bloody ha. Go back to your gin boys, you've been made to look utterly stupid and biased two weeks in a row
they were pretty much spot on.... we dominated them for extended periods through that 2nd match. considering this is probably one of the weakest all black sides for 10 years they did really well...

i heard our media give SA heaps of credit... which they deserved... what i hate are these idiots that dont back the all blacks because of whos coaching... most of them sheep rooters from the south island....

IMO that was a pretty aveerage game, SA played sh*t, but taht was expected, they were soffened up by 3 tests in 3 weeks in 2 different countries by the best rugby team in the world, then met a fresh wallabies team, didn't suprise me that wannabies won, i picked them and made some $$, wallabies didn't play well, neither did springbox, be a good match next week,

The Boks replaced the entire front row.

This was a ringing endorsement for the Wallaby pack.

lol.... ive heard that before.... wheres your guys saviour rodzilla these days anyway??

lets wait and see how they go up against our scrum.... remembering we destroyed the TOP bok scrum with John Smit in it... we still dominated them in the second test even though summerville & Thorn didnt play....

The AB's will be fresh and ready to roll...Braid will add pace to the breakdown and Thorn will add strength to the scrum.

Can't wait !!!...

AB's were very lucky (just a sh*te ref in it) from going down 2-0 to the Boks.

Wallabies beat the boks with our backline playing like busteds.

NZ is no threat at all. Your scrum is a myth.

are you serious ?

yes

they've done alot of traveling and only got to Perth the day before IIRC, and had a pretty tough game the week before

Wobblies had a few days to prepare themselves in Perth, they would have been a lot fresher

yea, but the saffers had 2 pretty good games prior to perth.

when they beat us in the 2nd test they looked a heap better than the first, whether that was because they gor rid of that limpwrist captain or not, i dont know.

the AB's are struggling at the moment and it wouldnt come as a major upset if they went 1-3 after this weekend.

soiliolo isnt a captain and Henry is messing around with our scrum too much.

I am thinking that the Wallabies are building very nicely this year.

The combinations are suddenly coming together (albeit there are still some problems) and the forwards (who, being Aussie forwards, are complete crap right??) are starting to really play well.

I am picking an Aussie win this weekend with the Aussie forwards dominating.

How good is Barnes playing...and Hynes? Hynes is a solid calm player and it sometimes looks like he's been in the wallaby jersey for years. Elsom had a f**king blinder and Smith (who seems to be playing a dummy half role a lot) is hitting his straps.

I can't wait for Saturday!! bring it on!!

barnes v nonu??
giteu v carter
tuquiri v siti
muliana v mitchell
front row kiwis v front row aus
williams v sharpe
rodney v elsom

nz have got it in all these crucial areas and deserve to be favourites, every1's talking up aus chances cause of robbie and easy wins over (sh*t) opponents and the easiest match of the trinations win over south africas who every1 rates highly cause they won world cup, which imo is one of the wonders of the world, NZ r comming off a loss and will be fired up as anything and will want this bad, however we are in a rebuilding phase and why rodney isn't 8 and kaino number 6 is beyond me, should be a good game, and theres 4 bledisloe games, so i expect nz to drop 1 so this could be the game

barnes v nonu??

Barnes is a ball player....Nonu is pretty much a number 8 who plays in the centres. Apart from a crash ball...Nonu doesn't really bring much to the table.

giteu v carter

Both, on their day, are great players. I can't seperate these two.

tuquiri v siti

Tuquiri....IMHO is a better all round player

muliana v mitchell

Mitchell is on the bench. Fullback is Adam Ashley-Cooper. Mils still ahead

front row kiwis v front row aus

True

williams v sharpe

Is Williams playing? I thought the AB pairing would be Boric and Thorn. If thats the case....Sharpe - Horwill or Sharpe - Vickerman (back this week) or Vickerman - Horwill are better than anything the AB's have.

rodney v elsom

Oh no way. Elsom has been playing blinders. He goes through a heap of work and is more agile around the field.

How about:

Mortlock v Smith?

Mortlock is the best centre in the game. He will run over smith.

How about George Smith v Braid (or anyone not fit enough to lace McCaw's boots). Smith will have a field day.

Both teams are pretty well evenly matched. The Aussies have the edge in the lineouts and rucks...the AB's in the scrums and the mauls.

Backs are pretty well even, I reckon.

Its going to be a close one.

The only issue the AB's have is if Carter has an off night or gets injured. They have no one in the team who can play his role. The Wallabies have Giteau and Barnes who can interchange as well as a more than handy bench.

Its going to be a cracker

are you joking???

There is not much talant in world rugby at the number 13 right now. People will say O Driscoll, but i am yet to see him play a dominant game since the Lions tour.

Mortlock f**ked the Wallabes in the World Cup and is yet to do anything since but give the most boring press conferences in the history of sport.

I thought George Gregan was a riggid robot and than i heard Mortlock speak.

Conrad Smith i'm not sold on. Mauger was awesome, he is a massive loss and i thought Luke Mc Allister was blossoming into something good, but hes f**ked off.

I thought the scoreline from last sat's game was pretty acurate.
Wallabies were just a bit better in the forwards ie breakdown.

Both backlines outside of Hynes and Tuquiri were pretty ordinary. Giteau in customary fashion did nothing after having a blinder.

Barnes is coming on nicely but still offers little beyond a nice kicking game.

Ashley Cooper? go home.

can any of these backs catch the ball. Those mid field bombs were hardly difficult.

Ave game on the whole. Certainly the ELV's picked the matches pace up at times.

But also seemed to ensure both teams were mor afraid of making a mistake and thus constantly kicking, waiting for others to f**k. Those kicking duals made me watch some hilary duff movie at times.

Mortlock is a rock in defense and is a good foil to the two playmakers inside. He will always take a couple of players with him.

I'm with you on Mauger. I really rated him...especially as a calm head outside Carter. He was always there to help out and to provide another option.

Who have NZ got? Nonu? All he offers is ball crashing and Smith will be out of his depth against Mortlock. I rate Smith as a S14 player but don't think he's really up to standard.

Barnes is a superb defender. He absolutely smashed Steyne on Saturday.

It all boils down to a cracker...but the AB without McCaw are a lesser team

A few points... Smith has never been walked over by mortlock or anybody, his defence is spot on, he just takles around the ankles not the chest... mortlock will not get the best of him... mortlock was good.. but like B O'D has had his day...
Nonu should show up barnes's defense if barnes doesn't come up at him come ... front on he may be ok but once nonu is beside or past him he wont have a show...
The locks WILL be Williams and Thorn, with Boric on the Bench... Williams is easlily as good as anything Aussie has and is better around the field... Thorn adds the grunt...
McAwe is 50-50 to start on Saturday.. braid isnt in his class but we shall see... Giteau ISNT in carters class yet.. he has been talked up but weather he is there remains to be seen...
The aussie front row hasnt improved that much, they are going to be monstered...
Expect cowan to start... he is better than Ellis or burgess on form
IF and its a big IF McAwe is playing the Blacks will win comfortably.. without him its 50-50... depends on the ref...

If they rush McCaw in....that's pretty foolish.

It all boils down to a cracking match....but the Aussie team is, as always, full of duds that will get whipped right?

Are you sure?

I've never met a kiwi who would admit that the Wallaby team was okay or even better than the AB's in certain areas.

I suppose its kind of like how an Aussie would never admit that the NZ Cricket team is a semi-decent side...even if we lose a few times to them.

If the Aussies win on Saturday I'll expect the usual wailing and gnashing of teeth and abuse of refs etc.

:)
