I think it's fair to say that big Al was always going to see out his contract with St Helens which ends after the 2018 season. Who knows if he'll come to us in 2019. If, and only if, he comes to us it will be because of his English connection with Graham and Widdop. He is also a good friends with the Burgess boys so he could end up South End. Pure rumour and conjecture at this point.

I am of the belief that we need to get deep into the finals in 2018 to be a contender in 2019. Most of our squad lack finals experience.

We’re prop heavy for 2018, but Au Mau, Allgood, Latimore and Kerr will be off contract at the end of next year.

I’d still be looking at an outside back to replace Thommo for 2018, then worry about Prop depth in 2019. The signing of Walmsley would be a good start if true.

This website means literally nothing. It's not even a report, no source mentioned at all. What's happened is they have probably made an article off the fact The Mole (who is unreliable) mentioned Dragons may have signed him for 2019
