Stuart to coach. Shackleton and Dean Young would surely make the cut if they were still knocking around though.

Lol! That's a pretty good squad. Would argue with 1 or 2 but having Stuart as coach makes it a 10 out of 10.

Josh Reynolds: 100:60, or 5:3 in the old money.

Just on Allgood, he's my favourite player outside of the Tigers simply for that one selfless act. He did what every Rugby League fan outside of Manly has wanted to do for the last 7-8 years.

Brent Tate is the least wankiest wanker to ever wank. I so wanted to hate him, and managed to conjure up some hate for a few years. But the dude is just all anti-wank. He's a truly humble, happy and grateful to be there kind of guy, still. Despite being a complete champion that plays out of skin in massive games at the highest level. He said not so long ago he'd be happy to cut the oranges for the Broncos. To me he knows his place and then some. He's not the most talented guy, for sure, but he tries his guts out fearlessly with no regard for his own wellbeing to make up for it, and plus he seems to know he's not that great. Can't ask for more than that.

I'd love to say Blake Ferguson, but in reality he showed this year that when he plays at his best he is up there in the Inglis class of rare talents. He's certainly maxed out the wanker column, but the sheer talent makes it hard for him to take out this award.

Dugan on the other hand ...

Well as someone pointed out, I think some people have missed the point of this thread.

The best suggestions IMO so far have been:

Sims
Richie Williams
Sandow
Ennis
Watts
Moltzen
Anasta
Taumata
Taylor
Vidot
White
Newton
Paterson
Earl
Roberts
Josh Reynolds
Maitua

As much as some people hate Anasta and his talent (esp over the last few years) can be questioned, he is one of the nicest fellows in person you can meet.

I'll never forget Dave Taylor explaining he doesn't like running up the middle and only likes running out wide.

Biggest cat ever.

That doesn't necessarily make him a cat, it makes him smart as he can exploit smaller defenders (although I'm sure that's the only time in his life he'll be called any variation of smart).

Is Manu Vatuvei a cat because he plays on the wing?

How does that make him a cat? That is where he plays well, extremely well, he's a wide running playmaking ball runner. Just because he looks like a big fat lug doesn't mean he has to play like that, he's better than that and all the dinosaur coaches trying to change him need to get over their stupid preconceived ideas.

As I said in another thread no one seems to criticise SBW for running wide and playmaking but everyone is inexplicably all pissed off with DT for being a similar type of player, and expect him to be a bopping barge pole. It's not his game. Get over it.

Yeah exactly. Some big guys are too talented to be fat lumps of shit that just run into each other. Dave played in the halves as a junior, he'd be wasted playing in the middle. Ofcourse he likes playing out wide, that's where he's scored a tonne of tries and set up even more and won games for his teams.
