Whatever happens, please spare us the Johnson's side has done better in 2019 (which they certainly will) therefore the Warriors made a dumb decision sort of rhetoric.
He needed a new environment because he hadn't offered enough in ours, he was unprofessional and coasting in a country he knew his excrement never stunk in. Had way too many arse kissers to drown out the critics. This move makes complete sense for him but it's also a positive for the Warriors. We weren't going to get anything out of him going forward, especially next year. You can't hold onto a player whose not consistently performing for your side just because he might go well somewhere else.
He'll be more accountable to his team mates over there, he won't get to be the golden nuts like he was here. He'll play behind a better pack, in a team with more leaders, so if he doesn't go well I'll be very surprised.
But when we lose his $1m a year and load up with better forwards and someone to go well alongside Green in the halves, we'll be much better off for this too. So how Shaun goes at Cronulla is irrelevant to us.
