Centre Dominique Peyroux has signed a three-year contract with the Warriors.
New Warriors coach Matt Elliott identified outside backs as an area he wanted to strengthen and he's moved to make Peyroux his first signing since taking over from the deposed Brian McClennan.
The Warriors are yet to confirm the move but the Titans recently put out a press release saying they had granted the 24-year-old Cook Islands international a release from his 2013 contract. Brenton Lawrence was also released.
"I am happy that both Dominique and Brenton were able to secure their futures beyond 2013 with other clubs,'' Titans coach John Cartwright said.
"At this point we are not in a position to offer them a contract after next season, so we are happy to grant them a release today. We wish both boys the best of luck and hope to see them playing more first grade as a result of their decisions to move.''
Peyroux debuted for the Titans in 2011, going on to play 16 games for the Gold Coast.

"The Titans, who yesterday released foundation captain and marquee playmaker Scott Prince to join the Brisbane Broncos, are also parting ways with prop Brenton Lawrence.
The interchange forward has signed with the Manly Sea Eagles through to the end of 2015."

Article on Stuff. It s on the Titans media release too.

Maybe, Warriors signed Peyroux primarily for a centre.

Will be interesting to see who Elliot goes with that's for sure.

Ropati
Hurrell
Neilsen
Peyroux

Tupou
Vatuvei

If I had to pick a starting lineup out of that I'd go with:

2. Hurrell
3. Neilsen
4. Peyroux
5. Vatuvei

Add to that the fact that Fish might be eyed up for a wing spot...

Elliot: “I’ve been keeping track of him...”

Anyway I like this new addition...I think he will turn out better than Ben henry or even dare I speak this in presence of his loyal followers....Ropo

Every time I hear of Dominique Peyroux I think of the Rainbow Warrior. Hope this one doesn't become famous for sinking the Warriors. Sacre Bleau.

I have no problem with this type of signing in general, if they're either bottom of the top 25, or outside the top 25. There's been a number of good signings of his ilk, Byrne and Kirk I think did reasonable jobs for the Warriors for decent periods of time. We clearly need depth in the centres. I also like that the club has said they need to get the right players into the Vulcans and the right results through the Vulcans to prepare blokes for first grade, rather than just going at it as an NYC into first grade club.

Elliot did say in his press conference he knows some teams will be offloading due to cap restraints. Smart man i'll give him the benefit of doubt that he has been tabbing some players out.

Falou anyone? Eels rumoured to sign are we trying for him?

Scurrah suggested he had had discussions with Falou's agent on radiosport a couple of weeks ago. Of course, he did also alude to Mick Potter being an assistant coach, so his word is fairly well regarded as mud.

Falou would be an awsome addition to any clubs roster.
The price tag he would command would also bring the NRL auditors knocking to check on the wages bill.

Towards the end of this season Peyroux spent a fair bit of time in the backrow so he could end up being used as much in the forwards as the backs

Thanks mate. I know its far fetched probably an eel very soon, if the club hasn't approached his (Falou's) agent I would be concerned, as would most fans.
