Just had the pleasure ? of watching the Warriors new 07 ad/s.

Honestly, they should have let Penrose intermediate have a crack at it in the "Fair Go" ad awards.

When you compare it to the current S14 or 7,s or even the Cricket ads, it is an embarrasment to the code.

Grant Rovelli is not tough.

There's no pleasing some people!!

I'd rather they were putting the work in on the training pitch rather than all the other bullsh*t.

now now scotty, dont be like that.

we are talking about promotion here (or lack thereof) and quite frankly, the warriors have missed the bus,, again.

its almost as though they have said to themselves " the s14 is on, its 7,s time and we,re up against the hadlee/chapple,, why bother? "

not good enough .

btw, was at westfield in henderson yesterday (trying to buy tix for the trial at harbour as a matter of fact) and heres this stage set up,, warriors gear plastered all over it, so we go have a look at the little sign,,, 'The warriors will be here 11-30 to 1-30 Tues . Come and meet some of the team'

WTF, who is going to be at a friggen shopping center that time of day ? you and i will be at work, the kids are at school,, suzy the housewife and her brats might be there but for crying out loud........
couldnt they have done it in the school holidays, at a later time in the evening,,,?

hmmm - it really doesn't bother me. The ad is ok. Nothing great, nothing bad.

Deaker had Price, Cleary and Scarrah on for an hour yesterday. It's not as if they are doing nothing at all. I'm all for the low keyness of it all. What happens on the field form 17 March is what concerns me.

As per usual Ozbash has nothing smart to say but only knows how to complain. Should it really matter what an 'ad' says? Why does it have to be super-special just to please YOU? An ad's an ad, and true real fans don't really give a crap about it.
To be honest, none of the nrl ads of the past were that exciting anyway.

From the context point of view, the ad isn't putting it's message infront of you directly. There's probably thousands of hidden messages in it, and you just have to read it from those points to know what it's getting across.

I completely understand what you're saying, Bash, but perhaps this was the only time they were able to get the Community Carnival going? Obviously, it would be better during the school holidays. I think it still is, for the younger ones...? Not too sure, though. I know high schools and colleges are back up and running.

I haven't seen the ad, so I can't comment on that specifically, but I'd be complaining too if it looked like the Warriors weren't putting much into the visual media to encourage fair weather fans to come to round one.

Ever heard the saying: 'a picture says a thousand words' Jes? Sometimes the simplest image has more power in it's message, then an image with all the glitz and glamour. Alright, the glitzy one looks beautiful and captures attention; but too much of that..and you (well me anyway) tend to get bored.

Have you seen the commercial in question?
