One other thing...the opening 20 minutes of this film is the greatest I've seen in any movie, ever. The Comedians fight and death sequence, set to the tune of "Unforgettable", then followed by the opening credits that tells the entire backstory in a series of slow-motion shots set to the tune of "The Times they are a Changin'"...absolutely phenomenal.

The bank heist at the start of the Dark Knight was great. But this is just something special. The perfect way to start the film.

Totally agree, i found the movie incredibly refreshing. Opening to the film was great. I loved the flashbacks as well throughout the movie. Visually it was a masterpiece.

Would have to be pretty good to beat the opening scene of the first Blade movie.

Agreed that the opening credits bit was awesome, but....

This movie was a real let down for me. It had its moments, but some of it just dragged out way too long. I can see why some people would love it, but it really wasn't for me.

If you haven't seen it, I wouldn't get too hyped up (like I kinda was), because you could well come out very disappointed like me and my mates did.

I think its a movie you either love or hate.

And whilst i can appreciate some of the brilliant moments, i was more on the hate side.

If i go to see a Comic book adaptation about Superheroes that goes for over 2 1/2 hours then id like to think that there would be more than about 10 minutes action.

There was far too much self-indulgent narration. They went on and on and on sometimes. And the ending? What a drab let down...almost as bad as the new Indy ending.

I dont think it helped that i wasnt feeling great when i saw it or that the theatre was also full of loud airheads, but i thought it was a movie very much geared towards fans of Watchmen.

And wtf was with the hardcore sex scene played to the tune of Hallelujah by Lynnard Skinnard? Most random song choice ever for a sex scene.

A sex scene set to a song about sex!? What a ludicrous decision!

It was fantastic. My non-fan wife thought it was great too.

It had depth, previously unseen in a "comic book" film, and that's thanks to the depth of the source material.

It leaves The Dark Knight in the dust for me.

I thought it was OK, but every time I looked at Rorschach without his face I could only see an aged Sherminator, so he lost a lot of impact.

Rorshach unmasked was exactly as he was in the book. Jackie Earle Haley was fantastic in the role...the face twitches, the spitting when he spoke. The perfect actor for such a troubled character.

I thought it was brilliant, ending and all. The blue penii (plural for penis?) did get a laugh from the crowd I was in, but they all enjoyed it otherwise.

I tend to agree, it was a very different kind of film, a type i haven't seen alot of before. I just wish i was a fan of DC comics, i probably would have enjoyed the film even more.

I liked it alot. Very different superhero film and I din't even know of the watchmen until this movie so changes don't bother me.

What was the music used during the 1st part of Dr Manhattan's flashback bit, where we see him as a man, was it part of the original score or some old music?
