Watson says Scurrah should be sacked!

This morning I heard the best and one of most honest interviews on Live Sport. The boys spoke to ex Warriors CEO, Mick Watson, who said:

- Wayne Scurrah should be sacked as the club lacks real leadership

- Look at the board

- The club misses Iro

- Scurrah basically pushed aside Cleary and as a result Hart, which meant that he had more freedom

- The recuitment (or lack of) is a joke. When he was there they attracted a number of decent Aussies. If they can't recruit then sack them as that is their job

- If the Warriors were in the same boat 6 years ago there would have been sackings by now i.e Anderson, Watson etc

- They let too many play makers go i.e. Lance, Fien etc

- Halves not gelling and RH side is a defensive seive

Not sure if the interview is on line but it was so good I stayed in my car listening to it rather than getting out to go to work.

There was more but I cant remeber it at the moment.

Pity it wasn't an interview with Eric Watson.
didn't Mick get canned himself for various reasons that I won't go into

Just got some good info (gossip) from reliable source that included:

Players don't like Scurrah or Don Mann
If above two were gone Auntie Ivan would want to return after Panthers stint.
Elliot had no faith in Ackers and it was his decision (not Scurrah's) to let him go.

Watson is one of those people that would know what is wrong, a lot of it would be more obvious to him than it would be to others

Greame Lowe was on the other Radio Station pointing to basically the same things- Management, Board, Recruitment. Scurrah & Bell specifically.
Although I am a fan of those guys moving on, it suddenly does seem the fashion trend to jump on that bandwagon now. Where were these voices months ago, specifically at the end of last year?

There have been a few on this site, with Skinner being the most vocal, having a go at Mr Bell's recuitment drive (or lack of it).

Skinner makes some very good points.

We saw this coming during 2012 but the end of year "internal" review made Bluey the scapegoat. Hopefully this end of season review will be more damning

Not while Scurrah is writing it.

That's the problem with internal reports

Maybe Owen could plush a few grand to get a real report writing up of he wants to hear the truth. Heck I'll do it for $20 if he wants to hear the truth

yea, some of the f/wits around here reckon Skinz is an idiot..

He would have forgotten more about the game than most will ever know.

Skinner's opinions can stand on their own two feet, there's plenty of people round here that think he makes a lot of sense.

However, those opinions are often tarnished in the eyes of many as soon as you and your agenda holler and moan when someone disagrees with them.

And for the record Ive never seen anyone label him an idiot. That title is mostly reserved for you and your trolling.

CEO: John Hart
Football Department Director: Elliott (I actually think he'd be very good at this job, he is outstanding in the media, has contacts, and is from all intents and purposes extremely good at setting up structures that move from one grade to another)
Football Operations Manager: Steve Price
First Grade Coach: Ivan Cleary
Assistant Coaches: Tony Iro, Andrew McFadden
NYC Coach: John Ackland

Oh yes, for sure. Tons on this and other forums. But when Bluey was sacked you didn't hear of many ex Warrior heiracies suggesting Mssrs Bell & Scurrah should go...that was all fans.

Now it seems they've caught up!:)

Couldn't agree more. Especially the Steve Price and John Hart part. In regards to Cleary though, when is his contract up, and is there really much point in revisiting this, or should we be moving forward? Trent Robinson has done wonders for the Roosters, maybe it's time for a David Kidwell, or Jim Dymock or some other up and comer to be given a shot. He'd have plenty of experience around him and Elliott there for guidance as well.
