Of course, play the race card. Makes yourself look more foolish.

For what it's worth though, I was astounded at how biased towards Souths he was in his call. And who was the co-commentator, Braybrook was it? Loved the following comment midway through the second half:

"Apart from a Rovelli intercept the Warriors haven't even looked like scoring a try."

I think it was more a case of bias towards Souths than bias against the Warriors TH.

If you want bias from Pearce against a team, watch when he calls Raiders matches. Even better, Raiders vs Tigers matches.

I heard that one and thought "What about the three disallowed tries you gumby".

Pearce is rubbish, but he's not on his Pat Malone...

One thing you can't deny is Wayne Pearce will forever think the Warriors are always tired - no matter what the score is.

He's got a serious problem when it comes to calling games... he'll latch onto a run of the mill comment by the main commentator and then just label one side with it the rest of the match. It is that bad that you seriously cringe at the thought that this guy was in charge of the Tigers for ages and then - an ORIGIN TEAM that won games!

A team could be 12-0 up after 30mins and he'll be convinced their tired and won't go the distance... and yet are up 12-0. The same goes with ball control, off-sides etc - the guy just can't seem to come up with an original thought... but geesh he can cliche it up with the best of them.

Just ask Ben 'Believe you me' Ikin.

The thing I notice most about Wayne Pearce is his inability to announce the players names right, or even half right. Either his interpretation is great and the rest of the commentators have no idea in which case I think Pearce is a god send, or Pearce has a blatant inability to do it. He can't even get the club name right "Worriers", I'm not sure if it's not meant to be a joke or not but it's also disappointing to note by his reckoning generally the Warriors are big hombres who play touch footy only.

That's about the extent of it. The constant cliches and generalisations from years gone by are quite damning really.

Your all raving on about Wayne Pearce but what about the New Zealand commentators at every home NZ game. Theres more bias there than Kevin Walters on a Brisbane channel 9 game.

At least Pearce only talks crap, instead of sounding like a total tosser as well.

Oh Pearce is bad, real bad, apart from being the original Captain Obvious he’s a total jibbera and I have no f**king idea what he’s on about most of time.

Last week on NRL on fox he was trying to ask Harigon a question and you could tell from the panels faces they had no idea what Pearce was jibbering about.

I'm referring to every Wayne Pearce commentary of Warriors games for the last 3 or 4 years. It seems my posts will be deleted if I expand on the "race card", so I won't.

Our commentators are more geniused than biased. They regularly side with the opposition, they just have a tendency to be wrong whenever they do so and whoever they side with. Definitely the worst commentary team around, but they don't seem to have a VERY SPECIFIC chip on their shoulder the way Pearce does with the Warriors.

wayne pearce simply hates the warriors. they are a top 4 team yet he still attacks them with every chance he gets. I think I might just mute the tv the next warrior's game he commentates

Braybrook is worse.

Agree.
He was doing around the grounds for 2GB when the Panthers played the Broncos...he called the final few minutes and said they kicked a 48m field goal.
