Such a massive game, can't wait. We should win handsomely but you can never take these things for granted. Come on Aussie!

We should have been good enough for Iraq anyway but now they have nothing to play for. We won 4-0 the other night but still played sloppy but I guess against some of these teams you can get away with it.

Don't care how we do it I just want the win. Hopefully Kruse stars again and Oar shows us a bit better with his delivery, having the young future stars send us to Brazil would be fitting.

The big crowd will be enormous for the boys but it won’t be 2005 all over again. I went to that game and it was the single most insane and loudest crowd I have ever been a part of and that was due to many factors including the hatred towards Uruguay, the long WC drought and the fact it was our last chance for that campaign.

None of those things can be said for this game.

True

I watched the DVD again last night, still gives me goosebumps even though I couldn't be there on the night

Uruguay was a different beast. If we win I will feel relief as opposed to the greatest sporting joy for me that was 2005. It will still be an amazing atmosphere though. I just hope this new terrace culture comes together as one and doesn't become SFC v WSW singing as previous attempts at groups have become.

This.

I literally wept with excitement watching that game unfold. I'd not been a football fan long (I basically started following the sport closely when the A-League was formed), but the gravity of the situation didn't escape me.

I've been hooked ever since.

Beating Iraq and qualifying will make me happy, but it'll also be a weight off me. I've been stressed every time we've had points on the line this time around - and not because we're necessarily playing difficult opposition.

Can't wait for this game. If the Roos have their heads screwed on we should do it handsomely... then Rio beckons!
