ST GEORGE Illawarra have confirmed their star Josh Dugan has suffered a knee sprain but will be available for the World Club series fixture on February 20.
Dugan suffered the injury during the Dragons’ 12-all draw with South Sydney in Saturday night’s Charity Shield match.
“Josh has undergone his MRI scans which have indicated he has a small knee sprain which will not impede him being able to travel to the UK for the World Club Series,” said Dragons NRL Physiotherapist Dan Lawson.

“We expect him to resume regular training once the travelling squad commences their preparations for the match against the Warrington Wolves later in the week.
The Dragons will compete against the Warrington Wolves in the inaugural World Club Series fixture to be held at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington.
The Dragons will announce the travelling squad later on Monday.

If they make this a permanent annual fixture, it may appeal to some players to come across and join the Dragons. Who wouldn’t want to play for a club that will guarantee you a game in England? Plus they can shop around their deadwood in England and hope they get snapped up like Dan Hunt.

Pater Mat'Utai looked pretty impressive at fullback when he replaced Dugan in the Charity Shield.
