We are finals bound

Yes, I do realise it is very early in the season but if we beat Parra this weekend and on form, we should, our chances of making the eight will increase ten fold.

We would only have to win half our remaining games 9-18 and with the bye, we would finish on 32 points which I believe would be enough for us to make the top four based on last years table. If we won 60-65% 11/18 we would finish close to the top.

I think 9/18 is a fairly conservative estimate and now that McLinden is back, I expect the Raiders to show some real attacking flair like we did in the second half of Saturday nights match against Penrith. Once Macca came on, we lit it up across the park and he was involved in at least two tries with some good backing up and his usual awesome ball skills.

His interview and cheeky grin after the match had me in stitches. He knows what this side is capable of and I think we have the fastest backs in the NRL. Macca, Mogg, Graham and Schif are lightning fast and the results are starting to show and we are still to get Jimmy and Mick Monaghan back.

Oh yeah, we did it without one of our best players in Woolford.

I agree but even if our form is average for the remainder of the season, we should still make the semis without much worry. Like I said, we only have to win half our remaining games to get there and I am confident we can do that.

I'm not jumping the gun. I was giving a mathematical hypothesis as to why I think we will make the semi finals. We may miss out but it would mean would have to lose plenty of games and when I get the time, i'll give a prediction on how I think we will fare in each game on current form and opponents form.

Just a note of caution though, Legend.... I used to do all these mathematical projections whenever Saints got off to a good start. It was kind of enjoyable and I don't deny anyone the chance to get excited about their teams performance.... its a good feeling I know.

But regrettably and inevitably you set yourself up for a crash. It's a bastard but its true.

I wouldnt wish that upon anyone...not even Sharks supporters...well ok, maybe Sharks supporters. I'm sure you get the gist of what I'm saying.

I know mate, it was more done to stir up debate because it had been a slow day. It may not happen either way and I know how us Aussies and Kiwis like to cut down the tall poppy.;)

Put it this way mate. IF Canberra do make the top 4, I'm sure you'll be there letting off skyrockets... and making sure we all hear about it. :D

I bloody well hope the Raiders continue with their form and finish the season in the top four.

Teams like the Dragons will struggle to finish in the top 8 and will probably have to resort to taking players out to advance their way any further up the ladder.

Well that depends Jedda... if the players they take out are good sorts or not.
