Product of the Sheens legacy.
We reap what we sow. We deserve the spoon due to poor recruitment and retention.

Its only the second time in the clubs history that it has been last on the ladder.

The first time was Round 1, 2013.

I can accept last if we do something about it. Potter is having a tough start to his career in the NRL but he has to turn it around. I think he basically has to turn the whole team around. Its a tough ask.

As much as it pains me, I think the spoon would do us good long term.
The humiliation would put a rocket up a few asses. Marshall especially.

We will get fed the same "injuries excuse" but aren't good enough to win the competition at full strength anyway.
Spoons bring change.

Marshall feels no shame.

He gets paid his cash and is happy. He can be the worst player on the field on a Monday night and cost us a game but you can guarantee he will be having a great old time all week including a good session yucking it up with the mental midgets on The Footy Show.

I think back to the John Morris era and often wonder was he really the biggest problem

Like Matchball said, just maybe the spoon might be the best thing that could happen to the joint.
Maybe than the board might start to look at the place from top to bottom. In the past they have read the Sheens review and believed the crap he presented. Now its time to employ a hard nose person, even if its a Brian Smith type person and do a complete interdependent review of the whole football club and than act upon the findings

Getting the spoon is never a good thing!! Who will you attract to a broken club? Players from fellow cellar dwellers that the big clubs won't take even for free!! I hope that the guys that pull a jersey on from this week forward take pride in it and play as if their future at the club depends on it as it should!!
The saddest part is that we, the fans have more pride in our teams jersey then half the guys running out there to play do. Time for them to step up or move on!! No room in TigerTown for Plodders!!

There is no lack of effort on the field. The players are working hard.......well.....Blair isnt, but he rest are.
Lacking in skill, cohesion and structure as well as depth. Plenty of heart shown though.

Type in "NRL players of contract" in google and have a look at the players by position that are available. Hopefully our recruiters can go on here and look for the future

Was watching J-Mo yesterday and thinkn how solid a player he is....tough as and never misses a tackle, wont win you games but put him in a position where he wont lose you games, and hes a reliable solid player

Morris was always one of our best on the few occasions he got to play at hooker.

Agreed. They are putting in. I think some of our players simply aren't really quality first graders.

Well, at least we cant go lower. Potter has to initiate a clean out somehow or other. Too many underperformers both on field and in the support staff. I know contracts are in place but they an be negotiated out, the club can sponsor talks with alternate club agents etc. Other clubs have done a clean out, we can too. Contracts whilst a difficulty, are not a unbreakable.

Don't worry lads - Lote will be back soon to rescue our season ...

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...et-them-out-of-the-cellar-20130506-2j3kc.html

Lote Tuqiri could make his long-awaited return from injury next month in a rare piece of positive injury news for Wests Tigers.
Tuqiri has been out since breaking his arm playing Canterbury last July, and there were fears his career was over after he needed a second round of biceps surgery.
The dual international's initial return date was pencilled in as late July but there are hopes he could be back in time for the round 13 clash with Penrith.
''Lote is due to see the specialist in three weeks, and he could be back two to three weeks after that,'' Tuqiri's agent, Giancarlo Lombardo, said. ''He's still in the rehab group and he's running now; he's just not doing any contact work. We're hoping he'll be ahead of schedule. We've just got to see what the doc says.''

The Tigers are in desperate need of reinforcement after suffering the NRL's largest injury toll. Their casualty ward includes Tuqiri, Braith Anasta, Blake Ayshford, Chris Lawrence, Keith Galloway, Matthew Bell, Tim Moltzen and James Gavet. The majority aren't expected to return any time soon.
The joint-venture club has lost five in a row and is on the bottom of the ladder, below the Eels.

Interesting that Potter hasn't used Groat yet. I am being serious, what has Potter got to go on from last year besides video and the support staff? Are those same guys saying Groat needs time to develop in NSW Cup but young Miller was dumped after a few games?

The match report from the NSW Cup game on Sunday includes:

Some strong work up front from Matt Groat put the Wests Tigers back on the front foot, with the prop pushing his claims for a return to the NRL following a foot injury in pre-season.
