Unlucky West Ham. They went out and gave it their all with some positive attacking football. Liverpool were dire, playing with one man up front and didn't pull their fingers out until after they were 2-0 down. They were a boring team under Houllier but not much has changed since.

From a neutral perspective, you want the team who plays the best, most entertaining football to win but unfortunately it didn't happen last night.

Two years in a row the team that went there to play attacking football has walked away without the prize.

I really wanted someone other then Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or Man Utd to lift a major piece of silverware.

To be fair, defending is part of the game too.

Just because a team plays a more defensive game shouldn't mean that they deserve it any less than a team that plays a more attacking game.

In fact I'd go the other way and say the defensive side deserved it more as they got the job done whilst the more attacking side didn't.

Afterall, the idea is to win the game. Not be the most attacking.

Gerrard took the bloody thing (cigar) right out of their mouths and had a few puffs then blew the smoke back at them with that 90th minute goal :D

At least two of West Ham's goals were arsey - an own goal and a keeper error. They were hardly the better team...

You should be bloody proud of the lads Mong. Bloody hell that was the best FA Cup for years. And it took a thoroughly GREAT strike from a GREAT player in Gerrard to end your dream. Be bloody proud Mong, you did well.

You obviously didnt see the consitant threat Yossi B was. West Ham were all over Liverpools defense.

Liverpool scored 2 goals from long balls into box and were blessed. Not once did liverpool break away (with the ball) from our backline and get in dangerous positions.

I admit west hams goals were lucky, but thats sport!
West ham were dominate in attack particulary with Etherington on the left flank (with konchesky). Its a pitty Ashton and Ether's were not fit, had they have been im sure the result would have been diffrent. When they went off there wasnt anywhere near as much pressure put on liverpool.

Thats the diffrence 1 world class player (Steve G) makes. Becuase liverpool with out Gerrard are rubbish, 2 wonder goals from 1 man won them the game.

Pitty Liverpool's strikers are Rubbish...

But cheers, at least it was a brillant game to watch.
