Pretty sure it was April 2002. I was really quiet at first but definitely becamse more vocal prior to relocating to LU.

astrogirl has always been my name :D guess you just didn't notice me before huh?

No I do remember the name... but sometimes I get people confused. Yours is an easier name to remember and distinguish from others.

There are far too many Joey-somethings, I_Love_Joeys, Newcastle-Chicks, Buderus-lovers, Gidley-lovers, Knights_Chicks etc etc to know who the hell people are. I still can't work out whether I've confused people with someone else.... my apologies to all those people with such names, it's a problem with the similar names, not the fact you like a player or like the Knights.

As for Pumba, Parki, Jedda and others.... I still don't know which one is from New Zealand, which one works for the police (or is that Spike) and which one is the Crusade member.... maybe they're all connected somehow....:?

I have been posting on here (albeit infrequently) for over a year now. Occasionally, I will post something that is opposed to the current trend of thinking, and either be totally ignored (which is okay) or attacked (which means I don't post again for awhile). I sometimes think the more mature approaches tend to get short shrift as much as the really stupid or hostile posts.

Think I first posted on the old forum around 2001, (so that means I posted there for just on two years or so, before we all moved here. I remember it well because Kaz (then known as Broncos_ Fan) gave me a real hard time for the first week or so. As Roopy says, in the end we are all Knights supporters, so yes, lets be nice to each other.

I remember when I first started posting on a forum. It took weeks before people took me seriously enough to consider my opinions before automatically attacking them (it was a tough forum).
...and you think people take you seriously now? ;-)

The point is - we should all remember how hard it was to get accepted by others - so we should cut new people some slack.

Most of the new people to post here are true Newcastle supporters, and many of them go away after a week or so because they get a hostile reception.

IMO we need to encourage new people - not deter them.

In that spirit - i'd like to welcome Jennifer85 to the forum - and I look forward to reading your opinions on the lower grades especially.

Try getting accepted when you're a Roosters supporter. If I were as thin-skinned as most of these other people, I'd have left a loooong time ago. That said, I know some people are much more sensitive to others and tend to take the ramblings of others on an Internet forum far too personally. For my comments, Jennifer85, I apologize whole heartedly, and welcome to the forum.

Only 24 points, but I already remember your name -- winning the Tipping Banner helps, or at least participating in it.

I do remember my first post -- I bagged out Mark Hughes. I also had a run in with a Daria or Dalilah or something. She really gave it to me in the early days -- I've since fallen back to reform the phalanx of words.... now I just suffer from verbal diarrhea.
