Fair enough

That Falcons v Saints game should be a cracker, will be interesting to see how the Saints go this year with Payton back, I think they will be right up there for the division crown.

As always, the question with the Falcons is how good can that defense be

Falcons - $2.40
Giants - $2.50
Bengals - $2.20
Eagles - $2.55

Some juicy odds. Never bet on my own team though. And week 1 betting is fraught with danger. Don't like the Panthers tbh

There's a 10 year streak going where at least one division is won by a team that finished in the cellar the previous year:

2003: Carolina Panthers/Kansas City Chiefs
2004: Atlanta Falcons/San Diego Chargers
2005: Chicago Bears/New York Giants
2006: Philadelphia Eagles/New Orleans Saints/Baltimore Ravens
2007: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2008: Miami Dolphins
2009: New Orleans Saints
2010: Kansas City Chiefs
2011: Houston Texans
2012: Washington Redskins

Your nominees for this year are:
AFC East: New York Jets, Buffalo Bills
AFC North: Cleveland Browns
AFC South: Jacksonville Jaguars
AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs
NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC North: Detroit Lions
NFC South: Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Bucs
NFC West: Arizona Cardinals

So who ya got??

Falcons D with be comparable to last year. Abraham to Osi is a downgrade, but we'll have more rotation with the young guys, barely saw them at all last year. The rest is pretty much the same, I honestly expect the rookie CB's to be better than Dunta Robinson, he was such a dud.

For mine, Saints have to be the favourites from that group

I also think the Browns could be sneaky good this year

Yeah he was, I watched the Championship Game again yesterday and he got abused pretty bad.

Eagles for mine from that list. NFCE is always close, and it's not like any f the other teams are far and away better than the others.

Cleveland might surprise I think this year aswell, not good enough to win the division, maybe jag a wildcard. Maybe

Edit: Didn't see Saints, they've gotta be close to favourites aswell. Depends how the D performs.

Falcons D might be a worry for them but arent they having some issues along the right of their offensive line?

Saints D was horrid last year but i think in the 3-4 the front 3 is actually a really good group. LB is a worry but they have been for years now but Jordan-Bunkley/Jenkins-Hicks/Johnson is a good rotation. Dont sleep on Jordan this year, back to 34 which suits him better and came on big last year.

Parys Haralson is a nice pick up for the Saints, he's no superstar but very good at setting the edge in the run game and he's a decent pass rusher

definitely a solid trade for the Saints. Still only carrying 3 OLBs in a 34 is a big worry though they only put Butler on the PUP list. Wilson and Galette both didnt see any preseason action though they will be the olbs in passing situations. think there is a chance to play more 335 with Jenkins/Vaccaro/Harper.

Interested to see our running game, been a focus for Payton this year

Sounds like Ingram is gonna get more touches this year, I expect that offense to be much better with Peyton back.

Any confirmation on the #3 WR? Is it Stills, Toon, etc?

.

I have an interesting decision at 3am tomorrow. Saints v falcons or lions v vikings.

Love watching brees in action and seeing sjax in an explosive offense finally.

Or the megatron and all day show.

My finger will get a good workout changing between fox sports and one hd.

Gotta go with Saints v Falcons for mine, that game should be a cracker

I think the Vikings will have a tough season this year, I don't see Ponder has a franchise QB and there's no way AP can repeat his performance from last year

AP's going for at least 150 yards tomorrow.

I can feel it.

Didn't realize I had to get up at 3am to watch, I was used to waking up at 5am last season.

Stills will be the #3 i think. He is the burner of the group. Toon has looked much better this preseason than last when he did struggle but he is more of a Colston type of player.

Might be one of the better WR corps we have had in a while and very deep.

Throw in two good receiving TEs with Sproles/Thomas/Ingram who can all catch out of the backfield.

Fun times for the O

Yeah I definitely remember 5 at the end of the season. Being in the UK is great for day games - the early ones start at 6pm Sunday night - with gamepass I'm gonna be setting up a 4 way split screen. Then I'll watch the late games condensed on delay before work tomorrow - set!!

up set: Jacksonville.
zero to hero: Panthers. I think the D will surprise a few people and should be the best in the NFCS. the offense isn't too shabby either.

I'm 50/50 on getting up at 3. I can only watch the Detroit Lions v Minnesota Vikings game as no foxtel/gamepass. plus I have a project in Brisbane that night so not the best idea to be tired.
