I think making the playoffs is too simplistic of a metric to decide if a QB is top 10 or if a team team has truly turned a corner...

I mean Brian Hoyer made the playoffs last season... yet I don't think anyone on planet earth other than Mrs Hoyer would say he's a better QB than Carr.

The team will just have to make the playoffs I guess...
Has nothing to do with whether or not they make the playoffs. It's how the QB performs in the playoffs, we haven't seen him under that sort of pressure, plenty of players look great during the regular season only to struggle in the playoffs where it steps up another level. That's where great QB's shine.

For the record I'd have Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisburger, Luck, Wilson, Newton, Dalton, Ryan, Rivers all ahead of him with Carr falling somewhere in the next group of 5-8 with the likes of Winston, Manning, Stafford, Wentz (even Bradford this season)etc.

Lmfao... yet Denver won a SB last season with the ghost of Peyton under centre... who was terrible...

so you just go and talk about the importance of how the QB performs in the playoffs in the first paragraph... then in the 2nd you name Andy Dalton as a top 10 QB...

Or even Matt Stafford...

you just blew your own argument out of the water... lmfao

If we follow your logic then Mark Sanchez must be a top 10 QB.... lol

It's all good though... RaiderNation is very happy with what we have...

And your point is? Who claimed Manning was a top 10 QB last year? He was arguably the worst QB in the league.

I said Stafford is in the next group of QBs and Dalton has proven more over the last few years than Carr.

Stop being so sensitive. Why the hell would you bring Sanchez into this? Selectively quoting shit to get worked up over isn't helping your argument.

Ohhh okay... your words exactly...

Then you follow up with...

Dalton has proven more over the last few years than Carr.

You can criticise me for selectively quoting you... but I'm just pointing out your blatant hypocrisy....

As for Sanchez.... he is something like 4-2 in the playoffs.... I was pointing out that if we were using your logic he would be considered a better QB than vast majority of the league.... which Is absurd... and goes to show how flawed your argument is...

You criticized mentioning Stafford when I lumped him in with the same group I put Carr in and you criticized me putting Dalton in the top 10, who has more sustained performance over multiple seasons and taken his team to the playoffs.

Manning is irrelevant, the Broncos won in spite of their QB. Last time I checked, Manning wasn't playing this year either. Is your Manning tangent because I dared suggest Eli was in the top 18 QB's in the league (even though he is still shithouse)?

Carr is a decent young QB, he isn't a top QB in this league... yet. I'm not quite sure what you're arguing over? As a Broncos fan you don't see me claiming Trevor Siemian is a superstar QB even if he's played pretty well this season, he hasn't proven shit yet. Carr has plenty of upside, he just simply hasn't stood out in the league long enough to put him in the upper echelon of QBs.

As for 'using my logic', no you're distorting my logic because I haven't agreed that Carr is a superstar.
