On the side note, as soon as I saw the team going for teh field goal from 45 out, I knew we were gone.
Hopeless coaching.
Looks like Flanno wont reach Stickys win loss record of 08 now, with a much lesser squad.

The team we had on the field did their best to win that game.
In my opinion, they had done all they could. That should have been enough until the refs came along and took over.

Put Carney in for Townsend, Gallen in for Green. Graham in for Frizell. Gibbs in for Tafua.
We win. By a lot.
There's a reason that people play reserve grade. Should be joined there next week by the pinkies.

Bad decisions went both ways but the Two majors cruelled us.....

I've played many games I assure you, and I have refereed many too. I am very critical of referees, but I will not overlook the teams performance that cost us the game - not the referees.

I didn't think it went the ten, but the replay was inconclusive. Fact is, we should have been able to defend one set of six against the team coming second last.

Our defensive structures are extremely weak. We seem to be waiting for the opposition to come to us rather than trying to shut the team down and kill the offload.

Yep, just one set. All I can think about. Had a sinking feeling though as the ball went out though, just been that type of season.

Not blaming refs bla bla bla.
But did noone else see the Panthers winger pass the ball 10m before taking the quick 20m tap for the break that lead to the first Panthers try? The rule is that if a ball is kicked dead then only the person who retrieves the ball can run up and take the quick tap on the 20m. I have also heard a ref explain that it is acceptable if there is a short pass involved. The winger passed it from the 10m line out to Kingston who was standing at the 20m line. Kingston took the tap and passed it to Gordon who made a 50m run. They scored 3 plays later. The ref said 'that is fine' when he passed it to Kingston. No, it's not fine. The Sharks should have been allowed to set their line.
