He is a professional athlete, surely he can play like his heart is in it while he is actually here?

Did anyone else notice him after the Manly win?

He was seriously one of the happiest guys out there... gave Ozzie a big man hug after the game....

If he doesn't want to be here then let him go. We don't want a Ben Hannant public saga on our hands.

As long as he plays out the year and gives 100% for this year I would be happy. It gives us time to hunt around for another player.

I actually respect Poore for not going to the media first unlike Hannant. A mutual agreement is beneficial for both parties.

look Noddy would be ok right, fine even....for a year, but seriously we must look to the future and long term in the halves and i'm willing to gamble some money on potential long term success with K Keating and Mortimer.......

look, i love Peter Steling, but i don't want to live on his memory for ever....i want a another excellent Parramatta halfback (and 5/8 for that matter)

as for Poore, i hope this is just a beat up.....cause i don't want another Lyon/Finch episode or another big name player signing like bloody Adam Dykes who is homesick for god sake.....i wonder does Poore tape all of the St. george games that he can't get to watch live, just like bloody Dykes did with Cronulla games....what a waste of time, space, money and oxygen he was at parra, please no more of that......

Poore will certainly be in good company IF it's true..Bob Lindner, Glen Liddiard, Jamie Lyon, Adam Dykes...

I hope the Kimmorley thing is just typical Weidler crap. My opinion is he should've retired last year.the bulldogs have been playing terrible this year bar 1 game and reading all the posts hear that pretty much means the halfback is crap and needs to be changed so why would people want him now.
And to bring him in as a mentor to Mortimer would defeat the purpose as by then saying he stays in the top grade all year, Mortimer will have already played 40 or so games and will then be dropped to the bench or Wenty for Kimmorley. How will that help his development?
The JT and PJ thing worked at the time as the game was different then and PJ could play half and hooker. I can't see Mortimer filling in at hooker and we can't have a half and hooker on the bench.

Poore deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Kimmorley would be a good mentor for Mortimer but he would cost too much. Hodkinson is a better target for halfback especially if we may lose Kris Keating.

Nathan Hindmarsh took a paycut last year to sign Poore.

My Mail is that he is happy just Needs time to adjust. Ossie & Poore are Very Close. If he wanted out Im Sure Ossie would Relised him by now Especially with the Salary Cap.:sarcasm:

There is no way Poore woule be released unless there was a ready made replacement. How would it look if your star recruit was released after 4 rounds? Look at the crap Hannant got a couple of weeks ago.

Osborne would look like a huge fool - and still will if Poore goes at the end of the season.

My hope is that he is happy and stays, and starts performing well on the field. God know we need him to fire.

Justin just needs time to adjust with our type of football.
When he was at the dragons he hardly ever passed the ball or ever played an exciting brand of football like we do. Give him time hopefully he will adjust soon.

But it does seem to me like he isn't really trying. Which tells me he wants out. Let him go I say.

Oh and on Kimmorley I really hope we aren't looking at signing him, he has had his best years behind him and isn't getting any younger. Plus didn't he say if he didn't play for bulldogs he would retire?

I disagree, EelDredd. Last year was one of Kimmorleys best. He is very good defensively, and his kick and chase is great. I do agree however that it will take time for Poore to adjust to the Eels style.
